<야심사(夜深詞)>와 <정세(靖世)>의 음악적 연관에 대한 소고

국문 초록

이 연구는 조선시대의 악장 <정세(靖世)>가 고려시대부터 전해오는 <야심사(夜深詞)>와 음악적으로 연관성이 있음을밝히고, 그 연관성의 의의와 <야심사>의 전승 과정을 살핀 결과물이다. <정세>는 『세종실록악보(世宗實錄樂譜)』에 수록되어 있으며, 현행 종묘제례악 중 아헌(亞獻)과 종헌(終獻)의 헌례(獻 禮)에서 연주되는 조선 전기 악장이다. <야심사>는 고려시대에 창작된 노래로 『시용향악보(時用鄕樂譜)』에 노랫말 일부와악보가 전한다. 본고에서는 이 두 악곡의 관련성에 대해 주목했다. 국악계와 국문학계에서는 1980년을 지나면서 조선시대의 악장과 고려가요의 음악적인 관계에 대한 관심이 대두되었다. 이러한 관련성의 연구는 당시 음악 편제 습관이나 특징, 우리 음악의 역사를 파악하는 데 큰 도움을 준다. 그간 <정세>와 연관된 악곡이 보고되지 않고 있었는데, 본고는 조선 전기의 악장을 검토하던 중 고려시대 노래인 <야심사>와 상당 선율 공유하고 있음을 확인하였다. <야심사>는 10행(1행 16정간)으로 구성되어 있고, <정세>는 12행(1행 32정간)으로 구성되어 있는 악곡이다. <정세> 의 선율 중 6, 7, 8행을 제외하고는 모두 <야심사>의 선율을 그대로 발췌하거나 꾸밈음을 사용한 흔적을 확인하였다. 이러한 선율적 유사성은 두 노래가 강한 친연성이 있음을 시사한다. 또, <야심사>의 선율이 <정세>를 거쳐 <보예(保乂)>, <집녕(輯寧)>까지 전승되어 온 양상에 대해 살폈다. <보예>의 초반부는 <정세>의 선율을 따르고, 꾸밈음을 넣어 약간의 변화를 추구했는데, 후반부에서는 새로운 선율을 등장시켜 많은변화를 추구했다. 그리고 <보예>는 <집녕>의 곡명을 바꾼 것이기 때문에 두 악곡은 매우 유사하다. 전체 5행인 <보예>의선율이 <집녕>에 그대로 차용되었는데, 유일한 차이점은 곡의 종지이다. 이는 『세조실록악보(世祖實錄樂譜)』에 수록된 악곡의 종지법을 따른 것이다. 정리하면, <야심사>는 <정세>의 선율에 직접적인 영향을 주었고, <정세>의 선율이 <보예>, <집녕>에까지 영향을 주어 현재까지 전승된 것이다. 이처럼 조선시대의 악장은 고려시대의 노래와 강한 연결고리가 존재한다. 본고에서 확인했듯 조선 전기의 악장 일부는 고려가요를 발췌하여 개작되었는데, 이 연구에서 <정세>와 <야심사>의 선율적인 연관성을 발견함으로써 고려시대와조선시대의 음악적 연결고리에 대한 한 사례를 더 추가하게 되었다.

영문 초록

This study is the result of revealing that the movement of the Joseon Dynasty is musically related to , which has been handed down since the Goryeo Dynasty, and examining the significance of the connection and the transmission process of . is a movement in the early Joseon Dynasty that is included in 『Sejongsillokakbo(世宗實錄樂譜)』 and is played in Aheon(亞獻) and Jongheon(終獻)'s Heonrye(獻禮) among the current jongmyo jeryeak. was created during the Goryeo Dynasty, and some of the lyrics and scores are delivered in 『Siyonghyangakbo(時用鄕樂譜)』 In this paper, we focused on the relationship between these two songs. Through the 1980s, interest in the musical relationship between the movement of the Joseon Dynasty and Goryeo song emerged in the Korean traditional music and Korean literature circles. The study of this relevance greatly helps to grasp the music organization habits, characteristics, and the history of our music at that time. There have been no reports of music related to , and while reviewing the movements of the early Joseon Dynasty, this paper confirmed that it shares a considerable melody with , a song from the Goryeo Dynasty. is a song composed of 10 lines, and is composed of 12 lines. Except for lines 6, 7, and 8 of the melodies of , all traces of extracting the melody of as it is or using decoration were confirmed. This melodic similarity suggests that the two songs have a strong affinity. In addition, we looked at the pattern in which the melody of has been passed down through to and . At the beginning of followed the melody of and pursued some changes by adding decorations, but in the second half, a new melody was introduced to pursue many changes. And since is a change of the name of , the two songs are very similar. The melody of , a total of five lines, was borrowed from and the only difference is the end of the song. This follows the final method of the music included in the 『Sejongsillokakbo』. In summary, directly affected the melody of , and the melody of influenced and and has been passed down to the present. As such, the movement of the Joseon Dynasty has a strong connection with the songs of the Goryeo Dynasty. As confirmed in this paper, some of the movements of the early Joseon Dynasty were adapted from Goryeo songs, and in this study, a melodic connection between and was found, adding another example of the musical connection between the Goryeo Dynasty and the Joseon Dynasty.
