노년층과 영유아층의 여가제약에 대한 비교 연구

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 관광약자로서 노년층과 영유아층의 여가제약, 그 가운데 관광제약을 비교분석하고자 하였다. 선행연구를 통해 관광약자인 장애인이나 노년층에 대한 연구는 많이 있었지만 영유아층에 대한 연구는 미비하였다. 코로나19 팬데믹이 끝나면서 여가의 조건들이 팬데믹 이전의 조건과 동일해지고 있는 가운데 관광약자에 대한 관광제약의 연구가 필요하다. 방법: 노년층과 영유아층의 구체적인 여가제약을 먼저 확인해보기 위해 노년층 4명, 영유아 보호자 4명에 대한 심층 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, Crawford & Godbey(1987)이 제시하고 있는 여가제약의 카테고리인 내제적 제약, 대인적 제약, 구조적 제약에서 주제로 분석하였다. 결과: 노년층과 영유아층의 여가제약을 분석한 결과, 선행연구와 달리 두 그룹 모두에서 뚜렷한 내재적 제약은 나타나지 않았으며 노년층과 영유아층 공통적으로 대인적 제약에서는 '타인의 부정적 인식'을 느낀 것으로 나타났다. 구조적 제약에서는 노년층과 영유아층 각각에 대해서 '맞춤형 여가 프로그램의 부족'과 '무장애 시설 미비'를 언급하였다. 특히, 영유아층에서는 노년층에 비해 구체적이고 세부적인 시설의 요구사항을 확인해볼 수 있었다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 관광약자로서 그간 연구가 미비하였던 영유아층의 관광제약을 알아보고 이를 노년층과 비교해봄으로써 각각의 유사점과 차이점을 확인해볼 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 두 집단에게 공통적으로 보완할 수 있는 제도를 제공하고 각 집단별로 맞춤형으로 관광제약을 완화시킬 수 있는 구조적 제약을 제공하는 데 있어 밑받침으로 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the leisure constraints of seniors and preschoolers as vulnerable tourism groups. Numerous studies have been conducted on the vulnerable groups of the disabled and seniors, but there have been insufficient studies on the preschool age group. With the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, leisure conditions are returning to pre-pandemic levels, necessitating research on tourism constraints for tourism-vulnerable groups. Methods: To determine the specific leisure constraints of senior citizens and preschoolers, in-depth interviews with 4 senior citizens and 4 preschoolers' caregivers were conducted and analyzed according to Crawford & Godbey's categories of leisure constraints(1987). Results: As a result of analyzing the seniors' and preschoolers' tourism constraints, unlike previous studies, there were no clear intrapersonal constraints in both groups, and both groups had a “negative perception of others” in terms of interpersonal constraints. Lack of customized leisure programs and lack of barrier-free facilities were cited as structural constraints for both seniors and preschoolers. Particularly, specific and detailed facility requirements were confirmed for the preschoolers compared to the seniors. Conclusion: This study was able to confirm the similarities and differences between the two groups by identifying the understudied tourism constraints of preschoolers and comparing them to those of seniors. Through this, it will serve as a foundation for providing a system that can be complemented in common by the two groups, as well as providing tourism constraints that can be tailored to each group.
