국문 초록

본 연구는 집회시위문화 정착을 위한 경찰권행사에 대한 인식을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 구체적으로 집회시위에 대한 시민인식을 집회시위의 자유와 보장, 시민의 법 태도로 구분하여 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 영향을 주는 변수가 무엇인지를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해서 독립변수로는 경찰에 대한 신뢰, 집회시위 참가자의 행동, 현행 집시법에 대한 인식, 경찰의 대응방식을 선정하여 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 어떠한 영향을 주고 있는지를 밝히고 이를 토대로 정책적제언을 하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, [가설1] 경찰에 대한 신뢰가 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 미치는 영향을 분석한 회귀분석결과, 경찰에 대한 신뢰는 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, [가설2] 집회시위 참가자의 행동이 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 미치는 영향을 분석한 회귀분석결과, 집회시위 참가자의 행동이 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, [가설3] 집회시위에 관한 법률 인식이집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 미치는 영향을 분석한 회귀분석결과, 집회시위에 관한 법률 인식이 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, [가설4] 집회시위에 대한 경찰의 대응방식이 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 미치는 영향을 분석한 회귀분석결과, 집회시위에 대한 경찰의 대응방식이 집회시위에 대한 시민인식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate citizens’ perceptions about the exercise of the police force for the establishment of the culture of assembly and demonstration. Specifically, this study aims to reveal the variables affecting the citizens’ perceptions about assembly and demonstration, dividing them into the freedom and security of assembly and demonstration and the citizens’ legal attitude. For this purpose, selecting citizens’ trust in the police, the behaviors of participants in the assembly and demonstration, the citizens’ awareness about the present law on assembly and demonstration and the police’s coping method as independent variables, this study would reveal their impact on the citizens' perceptions about assembly and demonstration and make policy proposals. The results of the study are summarized as follows: [Hypothesis 1] As a result of a regression analysis of the impact of the citizens’ trust in the police on their perceptions about assembly and demonstration, it turned out that their trust in the police affects their perceptions about assembly and demonstration. [Hypothesis 2] As a result of a regression analysis of the impact of the behaviors of participants in the assembly and demonstration on the citizens' perceptions about assembly and demonstration, their behaviors affect the citizens’ perceptions about assembly and demonstration. [Hypothesis 3] As a result of a regression analysis of the impact of the citizens’ legal awareness about assembly and demonstration on their perceptions about assembly and demonstration, it turned out that their legal awareness about assembly and demonstration affects their perceptions about assembly and demonstration. [Hypothesis 4] As a result of a regression analysis of the impact of the police’s method of coping with assembly and demonstration on the citizens' perceptions about assembly and demonstration, it turned out that the police’s method of coping with assembly and demonstration affects the citizens' perceptions about assembly and demonstration.
