환자안전교육이 간호 교수자의 환자안전 지식과 태도에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 간호 교수자를 대상으로 환자안전에 대한 지식과 태도를 파악하고 환자안전교육이 환자안전에 대한 지식 및 태도에 미치는 효과를 확인하여 환자안전교육에 대한 질적 향상과 다양한 임상 실습교육 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도된 단일군 전·후 설계의 유사실험 연구이다. 연구대상은 K교육원에서 간호 교수자 45명을 대상으로 2022년 8월 12일부터 2022년 9월 16일까지 자기보고식 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구에서 환자안전교육 프로그램은 2회차(2일)로 구성되었고, 교육프로그램 시작 전 오리엔테이션, 연구대상자의 일반적 특성, 자가 보고식 환자안전에 대한 지식과 태도에 관한 사전조사, 2회차(2일) 환자안전 교육프로그램 적용, 연구대상자의 환자안전 지식과 태도에 대한 사후조사 단계로 진행되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 program을 이용하여 기술통계, paired t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients로 분석하였다. 본 연구결과, 환자안전교육 적용 후 연구대상자의 환자안전 지식(t=-9.20, p=.000)과 태도(t=-3.56, p=.001)는 교육 전보다 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었다. 특히 연구대상자의 환자안전지식의 하위 영역의 환자안전(t=-7.96, p=.000), 안전실무와 지침(t=-8.53, p=.000)이 교육 전보다 교육 후에 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었다. 또한 환자안전교육 후 환자안전 태도는 안전지식(r=.527, p<.001), 안전실무와 지침 (r=.509, p<.001)과 정의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구의 환자안전교육이 간호 교수자의 환자안전 지식과 태도를 향상시킬 수 있는 효과적인 교육프로그램임을 확인할 수 있었고, 본 연구는 환자안전교육의 질적 향상을 위한 다양한 환자안전교육을 개발하여 적용하는 것이 필요함을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine patient safety knowledge and attitude, to identify the effects of patient safety education program on patient safety knowledge and attitude, and to provide basic data for the improvement on patient safety knowledge and attitude, of nursing faculty. This study used a one group, pre-post test design. The data were collected from August 12th to September 16th, 2022 and 45 nursing faculty were recruited from K education center. The patient safety education program consisted of orientation, a pre-survey, a two-section program(2day), and a post-survey. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, paired t-test and Pearson's correlation using SPSS Win 25.0 program. Compared with before the program, patient safety knowledge and attitude were significantly improved after completion of the patient safety education (t=-9.20, p=.000; t=-3.56, p=.001). Especially compared with before the program, safety knowledge(t=-7.96, p=.000), safety practice guidelines knowledge(t=-8.53 p=.000) were significantly increased. After the patient safety education, patient safety attitude was found to be positively correlated with safety knowledge(r=.527, p<.001), Safety Practices and Guidelines (r=.509, p<.001). In conclusion, the patient safety education program can be used as an effective education program to improve patient safety knowledge and attitude of nursing instructors. This study also suggests that development of various patient safety education programs is required to enhance patient safety knowledge and attitude of nursing instructors.
