국문 초록

이 연구는 가치를 인정받은 수행평가가 7차 교육과정부터 도입된 지 십 수 년이 지난 지금도 온전하게 정착되지 못하는 이유에 대한 의구심에서 출발한다. 그리고 그것은 제도적인 지원과 교사들의 인식 부족 등 통상적인 원인 외에도 수행평가를 효과적으로 구현하기 위한 철학적 관점이 명확하지 못하다는 문제의식으로 전이되었다. 이때 국어교육의 수행평가를 바라보는 관점이라고 하는 것은 단순한 과제 수행 행위를 나타내는 것이 아니라 수행평가가 이루어지는 제반 현상 모두를 보는 안목을 말하는데, 여기에서 이른바 생태학적 구성의 필요성이 요구되는 것이다. 생태학적 국어교육은 유기체와 유기체를 둘러싼 환경과의 관계를 중요시한다. 일반적으로 교수자나 학습자가 중심이 되고 환경은 제반 요소로 작용하는 것과 달리 생태학적 측면에서 바라본다면 ‘나’를 둘러싼 모든 현상들이 대등한 위치에서 영향을 끼친다. 그런 속에서 실제적 지식, 지속가능한 문해력, 환경과의 상호교섭능력 등의 함양에 대한 가치가 발현될 수 있어야 이른바 ‘생태학적 수행평가’가 의미를 갖는다. 특히 학습자 생활의 상당 부분을 차지하고 있는 교실을 생태학적으로 분석해보고 이를 ‘쓰기’ 영역과 접목해 보는 속에서 생태학적 수행평가의 구체적인 모형을 살펴볼 수 있다. 2011 교육과정의 특징 중 하나는 학습자의 개별성과 수준을 인정하고 이에 따라 적절한 과제를 수행할 수 있도록 지도하는 것이다. 생태학적 수행평가는 모두 다 같은 기준을 적용하는 것이 아니라 환경에 따른 다양한 관계성들을 평가에 적용시킴으로써 학습자의 삶에 실질적인 도움을 주는 평가 방식으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

However, this meaningful performance assessment has not been fully implemented in teaching fields despite the fact that it has been adopted for over ten years. This research starts from the point of having a question about this reality. Besides the lack of institutional strategy and teachers' low acknowledgement, this question leads to another problem that the philosophical theory to support the realization of the performance assessment is ambiguous. In addition, when referring to the performance assessment in Korean education, it is not just a simple task performance, but also all the circumstances related to the assessment. Therefore, the ecological organization of performance assessment is required. The ecological strategy in Korean education emphasizes the relation between organisms and surroundings. All the factors related to the learner, “I,” have an equal effect. To have the ecological organization for performance assessment, the learner should acquire practical knowledge, sustainable literacy skills, and ability to interact with circumstances. Particularly, by ecologically analyzing the classroom, which is mainly taken place for learning, and by combining with “writing” education, a specific model for ecological performance assessment will be introduced. One of the features of 2011 national curriculum is acknowledging each student's personality and level, and providing appropriate task to accomplish. The ecological performance assessment does not apply same criteria to all learners, but includes various relations with surroundings into the assessment. As a result, the ecological performance assessment could be used to provide practical help to the learners' learning process.
