초등교사의 국어 교과서 사용에 대한 인식과 실제

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 교사들이 국어 교과서 사용에 대해 가지고 있는 인식과 교과서 사용의 실제를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등교사 114명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하고, 교과서 사용에 대한 인식 수준이 다른 초점 교사 2인의 실제 수업을 관찰하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 초등 교사들의 국어 교과서 사용에 대한 인식 수준과 실제 사용의 관계를 유형화하였다. 또한 교사들의 국어 교과서 사용에 영향을 미치는 변인을 교사 내적 변인, 교사 외적 변인으로 나누어 그 영향력을 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들의 국어 교과서 사용에 대한 인식과 실제 사용 양상은 네 가지 유형으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 교사들의 교과서 사용에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 분석한 결과, 교사 내적 변인으로는 ‘국어 교과서에 대한 교사의 견해’, ‘수업 학습목표에 대한 고려’가 교사 외적 변인으로는 ‘학생의 흥미 및 수준’, ‘평가’가 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 초등학교 현장에서의 국어 교과서 사용에 대한 지원 방향을 모색하는 데 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the elementary school teachers’ perceptions of Korean language textbook use and its practice. To achieve this purpose, questionnaire survey was conducted for 114 elementary school teachers, and the classroom practices of two focused teachers, whose perception levels of textbook use were different each other, were observed. On the bases of study findings, the relationship between the elementary school teachers’ perception levels of Korean language textbook use and its actual use was patternized, and the variables impacting on textbook use patterns were divided into teachers’ inner-and outer variables, then its influences were analyzed. The main results are as follows：First, the teachers’ perceptions of textbook use and their practice types were classified into four patterns. Second, the results of analysis of the variables impacting on the perceptions of textbook use and the practice showed that learning objectives in classroom, students’ interest and its level, and the assessments were impacting elements. These results provide the implications for pursuing the direction of Korean language textbook use in the elementary school classroom.
