국문 초록

본 연구는 시선추적장치를 활용하여 공무원과 일반인의 공문서에 대한 읽기 특성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 고정과 도약의 데이터를 중심으로 공무원과 일반인의 읽기 양상을 양적·질적 측면에서 분석하였다. 양적 분석 결과, 첫째, 모든 텍스트에서 일반인이 공무원에 비해 더 많은 고정과 도약을 보이고, 평균 고정 시간이 더 길게 나타난다. 반면, 공무원이 일반인보다 고정 빈도(초당 고정횟수)가 높고 도약 거리가 길다. 둘째, 안내문보다 법령에서 집단 간 읽기 특성 차이가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 질적 분석 결과, 첫째, 공무원과 일반인 모두 핵심어에 고정 횟수가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 두 집단은 각각 자신의 관점에 따라 고정하는 양상이 다르게 나타났다. 셋째, 텍스트 구성과 관련해서는 제목 파악 양상에서 문종(안내문, 법령)별 차이가 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 본고는 공문서의 소통성을 점검하고 공공문식성 제고를 위한 개선 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to analyze the reading characteristics of the official documents of the public officials and the ordinary adults. Using eye-tracker, we observed an analysed the eye-movement of them and then, with personal interview, we supported the test results are statistically significant. We choose two types of press release and two types of laws and regulations. And the subjects are 15 public officials and 14 ordinary adults. The results showed that the first, the quantitative analysis of the public officials and the ordinary adults in terms of their reading aspects, the data in the center of the fixation and saccades were different between two groups and the results were statistically significant. That is, the public officials read more fluently than the ordinary adults. Second, there were some different characteristics between the public officials and the ordinary adults. The public officials tend to read to official document focused on own business experience, while the ordinary adults focused on own interest and actual life. The last, in terms of text structures there are differences with kind of documents. The ordinary adults have placed more attention on the press release and the public officials have placed more attention on the subject in laws and regulation. Official documents related substantial improvement and educational content for this configuration through a follow-up study is expected to be laid in the foundation.
