작문 유형화 연구의 국제 동향에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰

국문 초록

목적: 이 연구는 작문 분야 유형화 연구들이 어떠한 주제와 방법, 목적 하에 수행되어 왔는지를 분석하고 전반적인 연구 동향을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법: 체계적 문헌 고찰에 의거한 연구 절차는 선행 연구에서 제안한 흐름도 및 문헌 선정과 배제 기준에 따라 진행되었다. 이에 따라 관련 분야 데이터베이스 검색을 통해 1,026편의 연구물들을 수집한 후, 중복 제거, 1차 필터링, 2차 필터링의 단계적 선정 과정을 거쳤으며, 초록 및 원문 검토를 통해 작문 유형화 연구로 적절히 분류될 수 있는 연구물들을 최종적으로 선정하였다. 선정된 연구물에 대해 질적 내용 분석 기법을 적용하여 코딩이 이루어졌다. 결과: 연구 일반 차원으로는 연구방법론, 연구 참여자, 연구 주제, 연구 영역, 발행 연도의 5가지 기준 각각에 대한 코딩 결과가 제시되었다. 유형화 성격 차원으로는 유형 변수가 무엇을 대상으로 하는지, 분석의 목적이 무엇인지, 그리고 하위 유형 사이에 질/수준의 차이가 있는지 여부 등 3가지 기준에 따른 코딩 결과가 제시되었다. 결론: 코딩 결과 검토를 통해 작문 유형화 연구의 전반적인 분포와 경향성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 후속 연구 설계 및 작문 교육적 적용을 위한 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to examine the overall research trends of writing categorization research by introducing the methodology of a syste- matic review and analyzing its topics, methods, and purposes. Methods: The research procedure is as follows. First, 1,026 research articles were collected through a search of a representative research database in the field. Through the selection process of deduplication, primary filtering, and secondary filtering, 46 research articles were finally selected through for the analysis. The qualitative content analysis technique was applied to the selected literatures. Results: The coding results were presented according to two dimensions: writing research general and features of categorization. As for the writing research general, the five criteria of research methodology, research participants, research topic, research area, and publication year were analyzed; as for features of categorization, coding results according to another three criteria were presented: the purpose of the analysis, what the categorical variable is targeting, and whether there was a difference in quality/level between subtypes. Conclusion: Implications for the designs of follow-up studies and the application of writing education could also be derived.
