従属節と主節の同時·継起を表す｢~た途端(に)｣について

국문 초록

本稿では、コーパスに基づき｢~た途端(に)｣を含む文の実例の出現様相 における特徴の考察を行っている。｢~た途端(に)｣については、従来の研究において、日本語教育の観点から多く考察されてきているが、コーパスに基づいた分析はあまりされてきていないように考えられる。｢~た途端(に)｣を含む文の実例では、主節に述べられる事柄に偏りがあり、従属節と主節の主語が一致する場合は、主節に主語の身に起きる変化が述べられる場合が頻出する。特に、主節に感情の変化が現れる場合が一番多く、その次は感覚·認知の順である。一方、従属節と主節の主語が一致していない場合は、主節に(主節の)主語の動作や、状況の変化が現れることが多い。また、多くの例において、従属節は主節の｢きっかけ·原因｣であることが伝わるが、一部、前件が実現していない、または、｢~た途端(に)｣が思考、認知動詞と組み合わさり、主節に主語への働きかけ、人の動作などが現れる場合は、そのような意味的な関連性はない。

영문 초록

In this paper, I present a corpus-based analysis of syntactic properties of -tatotan(ni). This expression has been studied from the perspectives of Japanese language teaching, but no extensive corpus work has been conducted. The corpus analysis of spontaneous data including -tatotan(ni) indicates that (i) the focus of content is put on the matrix clause and that (ii) when the subject of a subordinate clause matches the subject of the matrix clause, the matrix clause tends to represent a change that occurs to the referent of the subject. In particular, the most attested type of change is that of emotion, followed by the change of feeling/cognition. On the other hand, when the subject of a subordinate clause does not match the subject of the matrix clause, the matrix clause tends to represent an action taken by the referent of the subject or the change of a circumstance. Also, in many cases, a subordinate clause usually conveys the ‘motive/cause’ of the change denoted in the matrix clause, but in some cases, such semantic correlations are not observed when (i) the content of the antecedent clause is not actual or (ii) -tatotan(ni) combines with a verb of thinking or cognition and the matrix clause denotes a human action or an action towards the referent of the subject.
