프로젝트 기반학습을 활용한 간호학개론 수업이 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 프로젝트기반 학습을 간호학개론 수업에 적용한 후 간호학생의 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 시도되었으며, 프로젝트기반 학습을 활용한 간호학개론 수업을 받기 전후의 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향의 차이를 비교하는 단일군 전후설계 유사 실험연구이다. 역량 있는 간호사의 자질이 요구되는 시대의 변화에 맞추어 간호실무 현장에서 요구되는 문제해결능력 등 간호역량을 높일 수 있는 프로젝트 기반학습(Project-Based Learning, PBL)을 간호학개론 수업에 적용한 후 역량의 변화가 있는지 확인하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 대상자는 S시 소재 G대학교 간호학과 1학년 간호학개론 교과목 수강자 50명이었다. 본 연구는 사전조사, 프로젝트기반 간호학개론 수업 운영, 사후조사 순으로 진행되었고 자료수집기간은 2021년 9월~12월까지이었으며 G대학교 생명윤리심의위원회의 승인(202109-HR07-07)을 받은 후 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS WIN 23.0을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, paired t-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 문제해결능력은 수업 전 3.50±.72점에서 수업 후 3.88±.33점이었고, 비판적 사고성향은 수업 전 3.26±.63점에서 3.78±.45점이었다. 문제해결능력은 프로젝트기반 학습 후 증가하였고 이 중 문제인식(t=-3.055, p<0.005), 정보수집(t=-4.052, p<0.001), 분석능력(t=-4.238, p<0.001), 확산적사고(t=-3.824, p<0.001), 피드백 영역(t=-3.486, p<0.005)에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 비판적 사고성향은 프로젝트기반 학습 후 증가하였고 이 중 지적공정성(t=-1.330, p<0.005), 신중성(t=-4.623, p<0.001), 자신감 영역(t=-3.374, p<0.005)에서는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 간호학개론 교과목에 적합한 프로젝트기반 수업을 개발하여 이를 적용하고 간호학개론 교과목에 적용한 프로젝트 기반학습이 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향을 향상시킨다는 것을 확인한 것이다. 본 연구는 일개 대학 간호대학생에게 적용된 연구로 이를 일반화하는데 한계가 있으므로 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 다양한 교과목에 적용하여 학습효과를 검증하는 반복연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study was attempted to investigated the effect of introduction to nursing science class using project based learning on problem solving ability, critical thinking disposition for nursing students. Tthis is a single group pre and post experimental design study comparing differences in problem solving ability and critical thinking propensity before and after receiving an introductory nursing course using project based learning. In accordance with the changing times that require the qualifications of competent nurses, it is very important to confirm if there is a change in competency after applying project-based learning (PBL), which can enhance nursing competency, such as problem solving ability required in nursing practice, to the introduction to nursing science class. This study was conducted on 50 first grade students who took introduction to nursing science class in the nursing department of G university located in S city, in the order of pre-investigation, project-based introductory nursing course operation, and post-investigation. The data were collected from September 1 to December 15, 2021, after obtaining approval from the G University Institutional Review Board(202109-HR07-07). The collected data were analyzed as frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and pared t-test using SPSS WIN 23.0. As a result of the study, problem solving ability average 3.50±.72 points before learning and 3.88±.33 points after learning and critical thinking disposition average 3.26±.63 points before learning and 3.78±.45 points after learning. Problem solving ability increased after learning than before project based learning, and among them, problem recognition (t=-3.055, p<0.005), information collection (t=-4.052, p<0.001), and analysis ability (t= -4.238, p<0.001), divergent thinking (t=-3.824, p<0.001), and feedback domain (t=-3.486, p<0.005) showed statistically significant differences. Critical thinking disposition increased after project based learning, and among them, intellectual fairness (t=-1.330, p<0.005), prudence (t=-4.623, p<0.001), and self-confidence domain (t=-3.374, p<0.005) was statistically significant. The significance of this study is to develop and apply a project based class suitable for the introduction to nursing science class, and to confirm that the project based learning applied to the introduction to nursing science class improved the problem-solving ability and critical thinking disposition. Since this study was applied to one university nursing student, there is a limit to generalizing it. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct repeated studies to verify the learning effect by applying the results of this study to various subjects in the future.
