어린이집 보조교사 운영실태와 개선방안

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 기관 유형과 직군 유형에 따른 어린이집 보조교사 운영실태를 살펴보고 개선방안을제시하는 것이다. 본 연구는 경기지역의 어린이집에 근무하는 원장 5명, 담임교사 5명, 보조교사 5명 등총 15명을 대상으로 예비조사를 시행한 후, 원장 372명, 담임교사 319명, 보조교사 125명 등 총 816명을대상으로 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석과 교차분석,  검증 등으로 분석되었다. 연구결과는 어린이집 보조교사가 주로 하는 일, 보조교사 배치 필요성, 보조교사가 가장 필요한 상황, 사전교육 내용 등이 어린이집의 유형에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 원장과 담임교사, 보조교사 각각의 처지에서어린이집 보조교사를 살펴본 결과 역시 기관별로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 즉, 기관 유형에 따라 어린이집 보조교사가 다르게 운영되는 것이다. 이처럼 어린이집 유형에 따라 보조교사가 다르게 운영되므로 보조교사 지원제도를 개선하려면 기관의 자율성을 확대하는 등 기관의 특성에 맞는 지원방안이 마련되어야 한다. 결국 본 연구는 기관 유형과 직군 유형에 따른 차이를 동시에 살펴봄으로써 어린이집 보조교사운영실태와 개선방안에 관한 포괄적 정보를 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the management status of the assistant teacher system of daycare center according to types of institution and job category and to suggest its improvement plan. This study conducted preliminary survey for 5 directors, 5 class teachers, and 5 assistant teachers of daycare centers in Gyeonggi Province. After preliminary survey, this study conducted survey research. The subjects were 372 directors, 319 class teachers, 125 assistant teachers of daycare centers in Gyeonggi Province. This study analyzed data using frequency analysis, crossover analysis, and χ2 test. The results of this study showed that the roles of assistant teachers’ carrying out or the contents of prior education were operated differently according to types of daycare center. The results that the assistant teacher system of daycare center was investigated from the viewpoints of the each position of director, class teacher, and assistant teacher also showed the meaningful difference by institution. Because the assistant teacher system of daycare center was operated differently according to types of daycare center like this, the support plan to fit the characteristics of each institution such as enlarging institutional autonomy should be arranged in order to improve the assistant teacher system of daycare center. As a result, it is significant that this study provides comprehensive data about the management status of the assistant teacher system of daycare center by investigating simultaneously differences in types of institution and job category.
