팟캐스트를 활용한 대학 교양 인성교육의 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 팟캐스트를 활용한 대학교 교양 인성수업이 학습자에게 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 13주 동안 연구수업을 진행하였다. 거꾸로 학습법과 과제중심학습법을 접목하여 수업 전 과제로 팟캐스트를 듣고 관련 교재를 읽어 온 다음, 수업시간에 팟캐스트에서 접한 주제를 중심으로 토론 및 심화활동을 수행하는 과정으로 수업과정을 기획하였다. 수업 전, 후 설문을 통해 수집한 응답자 122명의 의견에 대해 요인분석을 실시한 결과 [수강과목 만족도], [인성에 대한 인식], [인성에 대한 만족도] 그리고 [팟캐스트의 효과성 인식] 총 네 개의 요인을 추출할 수 있었다. 소감문은 델파이기법을 적용하여 전문가 3인의 유목화와 키워드추출 과정을 반복적으로 진행하여 분석을 진행하였다. 설문조사 응답분석 결과 모든 항목에서 통계적으로 유의미성을 갖는 향상이 있었음이 밝혀졌다. 대응표본t검정을 통해 수업 전, 후 결과를 비교한 결과, 팟캐스트를 활용한 인성수업에 대한 만족도는 수업 전 3.93에서 수업 후 4.38로 높아졌고, 학습자의 인성에 대한 인식은 수업 전 4.09에서 수업 후 4.58로 약 0.49 향상되었다. 자신의 인성에 대한 만족도는 수업 전 3.45에서 수업 후 4.11로 0.66 상승하였다. 인성교육 도구로서 팟캐스트에 대한 인식은 수업 전 3.21에서 수업 후 3.89로 약 0.68정도의 향상이 있었다. 소감문 분석으로 추출된 키워드와 키워드 활용 빈도가 정량적 데이터 결과를 뒷받침 해주고 있어 수업의 효과성을 다각도로 검증할 수 있었다. 본 연구가 앞으로 이루어질 다양한 인성교육 디지털 콘텐츠의 제작 및 기획과 디지털콘텐츠를 수업도구로 활용한 대학 인성교육연구에 본 연구 결과가 기여할 수 있기를 바란다.

영문 초록

This study conducted model classes for 13 weeks to examine the effectiveness of the Personality Education Adapting Podcast as a teaching material in university liberal arts education curriculum. Based on teaching and learning methods, Flipped Learning and Task based Learning, the course was planned as following two stages. The first stage was listening to podcast contents and reading texts related to the main topic of the podcast as an assignment before the class; and second stage was participating in discussion and in-depth activities focusing on the topic during class. By implementing Factor Analysis on the opinions from 122 respondents collected through surveys taken twice at pre and post class, four main factors were extracted; [satisfaction with the class], [recognition of personality], [satisfaction with my personality], and [recognition of effectiveness of the podcast]. The impression essays were analyzed by applying Delphi method and repeating the process of categorization and keyword extraction through continuous discussion among three experts. Comparing the results from pre and post class surveys by taking Paired Sample t-Test, [satisfaction with the class] factor increased from 3.93 before class to 4.38 after class, and [recognition of personality] factor rose about 0.49, from 4.09 before class to 4.58 after class. [Satisfaction with my personality] factor increased about 0.66 from 3.45 before class to 4.11 after class and the last factor, [recognition of effectiveness of podcast] improved about 0.68 from 3.21 before class to 3.89 after class. Moreover, as keywords and frequency of keyword usage elicited from analyzing impression essays supported the results from quantitative data analysis, it was possible to verify effectiveness of the class with various dimensions. It is hoped that the results of this study will contribute to production and design of educational digital contents dealing with personality education and to the research on personality education utilizing digital contents in university.
