시뮬레이션 기반의 SBAR 의사소통 교육을 받은 간호대학생의 의사소통명확성, 의사소통자신감, 의사소통능력

국문 초록

본 연구는 요로감염 영아의 발열간호와 폐렴 유아의 호흡곤란 간호 시나리오를 바탕으로 시뮬레이션 기반의 SBAR(Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) 의사소통 교육을 받은 간호대학생들의 의사소통명확성, 의사소통자신감, 의사소통능력 차이를 확인하고, 간호대학생들의 의사소통역량 향상을 위한 체계적인 SBAR 의사소통 교육의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도된 단일군 전·후 실험설계연구이다. 본 연구는 B시 소재의 일 대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 4학년 학생을 대상으로 시뮬레이션실습 교과목을 수강한 학생 85명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료는 시뮬레이션실습 전·후 자가 보고식 설문지를 이용하였으며, 2021년 9월 3일부터 12월 6일까지 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS / WIN 24.0 program을 사용하여 간호대학생들의 의사소통명확성, 의사소통자신감 및 의사소통능력은 평균과 표준편차, SBAR 의사소통 교육 전·후 의사소통명확성, 의사소통자신감, 의사소통능력의 차이는 t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 의사소통명확성은 교육 전 평균 3.91±0.70점에서 교육 후 평균 4.37±0.66점이었고, 의사소통자신감은 교육 전 평균 7.56±1.42점에서 교육 후 평균 8.19±1.48점이었으며, 의사소통능력은 교육 전 평균 3.96±0.44점에서 교육 후 평균 4.12±0.44점이었다. 시뮬레이션 기반의 SBAR 의사소통 교육 전·후 의사소통명확성(t=-4.37, p<.001), 의사소통자신감(t=-2.83, p=.005), 의사소통능력(t=-2.46, p=.015)은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호대학은 예비 간호사인 간호대학생들에게 의사소통에 대한 체계적인 교육을 위해 저학년 때부터 다양한 교과목에 SBAR 의사소통 형식을 적극 활용하는 것이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study was attempted to identify the differences in communication clarity, communication confidence, and communication skills of nursing students who received simulation-based SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) communication education. To provide basic data for systematic SBAR communication education to improve communication competency of nursing students. We used fever care scenario of urinary tract infection for infant childhood and dyspnea care scenario of pneumonia for early childhood. This is a single-group pre- and post-experimental design study. This study was conducted on 85 fourth-grade students who took simulation practice courses enrolled in the nursing department of one university located in B city. The data were collected from September 3 to December 6, 2021, using a self-report questionnaire before and after simulation practice. For data analysis, using SPSS/WIN 24.0 program, Communication clarity, communication confidence, and communication skills of nursing students were analyzed with the mean and standard deviation, and differences in communication clarity, communication confidence, and communication skills before and after SBAR communication education were analyzed using t-test. As a result of the study, communication clarity averaged 3.91±0.70 points before education and 4.37±0.66 points after education, and communication confidence averaged 7.56±1.42 points before education and 8.19±1.48 points after education. Communication skills averaged 3.96±0.44 points before education and 4.12±0.44 points after education. Communication clarity before and after SBAR communication education based on simulation (t=-4.37, p<.001), communicator confidence (t=-2.83, p=.005), communication skills (t=-2.46, p=.015) showed a statistically significant difference. Based on the results of this study, it will be necessary for nursing universities, which are prospective nurses, to actively use the SBAR communication format in various subjects from the lower grades for systematic education on communication.
