제주문화경관에 대한 지리철학적 고찰

국문 초록

본 논문은 예술작품에 진품과 가품이 존재하는 것과 같이 문화경관이라는 실체에도 진본(眞本, authenticity)과 가본(假本, inauthenticity)이 존재할 수 있음에 대한 문화지리적 분석을 수행한다. 이를 위한 실증사례는 제주도 주거문화경관이다. 구체적으로 세 가지 종류의 주거문화경관이 제시된다. 첫째는, 제주도 전통주거문화경관인 안거리-밖거리 주거문화경관, 둘째는, 제주민속촌에 박제된 안거리-밖거리 주거문화경관, 셋째는, 비오토피아 고급타운하우스 단지이다. 이와 같은 세 가지 종류의 주거문화경관에 대한 문화지리적 분석을 통하여, 특정한 실재에 대한 진본과 가본의 구분을 부정하는 현대철학적 사고에 대한 환기를 요구하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This paper explores a geographical analysis on the fact that authenticity and authenticity can exist in the substance of a cultural landscape just as genuine and fake exist in works of art. An empirical example for this is the cultural landscape of Jeju Islanders’ housing. Specifically, three types of cultural landscapes of housing are presented. The first is Jeju Island s traditional residential cultural landscape, the folk dwelling of Ahn’gŏ’ri-Bak’gŏ’ri, second, Ahn’gŏ’ri-Bak’gŏ’ri stuffed in the Jeju Folk Village, and third, Biotopia luxury townhouse complex. Through the geographical analysis of these three types of residential cultural landscapes, it is intended to call for a reconsideration of contemporary philosophical thoughts that denies the distinction between the authenticity and the inauthenticity of a specific reality.
