영문 초록

In this paper, the research on the decorative characteristics of the early Italian Renaissance furniture, which had a profound influence on the development of furniture after the 15th century, is carried out. From the perspective of modeling, taking 30 furniture cases from 1450 to 1500 as the object, the decorative pattern characteristics and decorative techniques of furniture in this period are discussed, and the decorative characteristics are highlighted. This study is intended to provide basic information for furniture research after the early Renaissance. Through literature research, it is found that the political background of this period initiated the movement of humanism. Economically, the sprout of capitalism appeared; in culture, the revival of classical culture made decorative art take human beauty as being the basis; in religion, religious thoughts centered on the gods began to weaken. In terms of furniture before the Italian Renaissance, the combination of Gothic and local styles formed a comprehensive Gothic style. Italian furniture at the end of the 14th century has formed the rudiment of the early Renaissance furniture. Then, through literature research and case study, it is found that the decorative patterns of seven kinds of furniture in the early Renaissance of Italy are found, including plant patterns, animal patterns, religious and mythological patterns, geometric patterns, story patterns, classical patterns, and other patterns. The extensive use of classical patterns and secular theme patterns reflects the human centered design concept. The decorative techniques of furniture in this period mainly include bas-relief, gilding, intarsia, pastiglia, tempera, etc. The mixed-use of various techniques makes the work present a noble and gorgeous decorative effect. Therefore, early Italian Renaissance furniture presents many gorgeous features, including a variety of classical decorative patterns, uniform composition, skilled decorative techniques, rich colors, and so on. Through the study of the decorative characteristics of the early Italian Renaissance furniture, it is called upon to provide help for the research of furniture in the latter period of the Italian Renaissance, and then inject new vitality into the research and development of modern furniture design.
