심경(沈璟)의 무대연출 기법 연구

국문 초록

명 왕조 만력시기 격률파의 선장으로서, 문사를 주장한 탕현조와 함께 당시 희곡문단을 이끌었고, 또한 오강파의 영수였던 심경은 일생 여러 편의 극작을 남겼다. 본 작품『박소기(博笑记)』는 그의 마지막 창작으로서, 작가가 오직 희곡의 무대실천을 위해 다양한 시도를 진행했던 독특한 작품이다. 전체 10개의 짤막한 고사를 하나의 작품으로 묶어서, 하나의 고사가 끝나면 바로 다음 고사를 알려서 관중들이 무대에 호기심을 갖고 집중할 수 있도록 만든 형식이어서 이러한 체제 자체만으로도 매우 이색적이라 하겠다. 당시는 주로 재자가인의 사랑이야기 또는 역사이야기를 다룬 작품들이 흥행을 하던 시기였다. 그러나 그런 와중에도 심경은 이 작품을 통해 무대연출과 관중을 위한 작품의 면모를 보여주었던 것이다. 본고에서는 작가의 무대실천을 위한 시도로서 ,극중 언어표현과 동작 및 배우들의 연기를 실감나게 이끌어주는 지문과 분장 그리고 무대도구 등으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 특히 본 작품은 하층민들의 생활과 삶을 소재로 하다 보니 다른 극작에서는 조연이나 대사조차 없을 단역배우들이 오히려 당당한 주역으로 서 매착(每出) 등장하는 활약상을 표를 통해서 확인할 수 있다. 전통 극작 은 흔히 주연 배우가 이미 고정되어 있지만, 본 작품에서는 고사 대부분이 사회 하층민들을 위주로 다뤄지기 때문에 그 이전까지는 그야말로 조연중의 조연이었던 각색들이 오히려 주인공의 역할을 담당하고 있는 점 역시 흥미로운 점이다. 그 외, 배우들의 우스꽝스런 표현과 익살스런 동작은 관중들에게 당연 웃음과 재미를 선사하여 무대 전체의 분위기를 고조시킬 수밖에 없다. 이상의 고찰을 통해서,『박소기(博笑记)』는 작자가 무엇보다도 최우선적으로 무대 위의 배우와 무대아래의 관중들 모두가 생동감 넘치는 무대분위기를 즐길 수 있도록 고려한 때문이었음을 알 수 있었다. 명대의 희곡이 눈으로 읽는 감상화로 흐르는 과정에서 이와 같은 극작(剧作)이 출현하였으니, 이는 중국희극발전사상 분명 한 장을 차지하는 기여를 했다고 할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

During the Ming Dynasty, he led the drama troupe with Tang Xian-Zu, who insisted on literary history, as the captain of the WuJiang group during the Ming dynasty. This is a unique work in which the artist has made various attempts only for the stage practice of the play. A total of 10 short exams are bundled into one work, and when one exam is finished, the next exam is announced so that the audience can focus on the stage with curiosity, so the system itself is very unique. At that time, most of the works dealt with the love stories or historical stories of the wealthy. However, in the midst of that, ShenJing completed the work for the stage directing and the audience through BOXIAOJI. In this paper, as an example of the artist s attempt to practice the stage, we have divided it into fingerprints and virtual stage tools that realistically lead to verbal expressions, movements, and actors performances in the play. In particular, since this work deals with the lives and lives of lower-class people, in other playwrights, minor actors who do not even have supporting roles or lines play a central role. In traditional playwrights, the main character is often fixed, but in this work, since most of the stories are dealt with mainly from the lower classes, it is also interesting that the adaptations, which have been mainly supporting actors so far, play the role of the main character. In addition, the comical expressions and humorous movements of the actors naturally bring laughter and fun to the audience, which inevitably heightens the atmosphere of the entire stage. From the above considerations, it can be seen that the author considered  BOXIAOJI to be able to create and enjoy a lively stage for both the actors on stage and the spectators under the stage as a play art technique. In the process of the Ming dynasty s play flowing into a sentimental painting that can be read with the naked eye, such a novel appeared, and it can be said that it occupies an important chapter in the history of Chinese comedy.
