국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 학습 생애의 관점에서 1980년대와 90년대 학생운동과 노동운동 경험을 가진 지역활동가들의 정체성 이행과 학습활동을 탐색하는 것이다. 정체성 이행을 경험한 연구참여자 네 명을 선정하여 생애사 연구 방법으로 그들의 학습활동을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 정체성 이행과 학습활동은 상호 관계적 맥락으로 파악되었다. 정체성 이행은 시대적 상황에 대한 저항과 약자와의 관계 속에서 ‘타자 인식’, ‘타자 동일시’, ‘타자 수용’의 양상을 보였고 자신의 정체성과 ‘저항’, ‘균열’, ‘수용’하는 ’동일시‘의 관계를 나타냈다. 학습활동은 정체성 이행에 따라 ① 같이 의식을 키워가는 학습활동, ② 앎을 실천하는 학습활동, ③ 삶에서 배우는 학습활동으로 변화되었다. 학습활동은 타자성에 기반한 실천 학습으로 파악되었다. 이 연구는 정체성 이행을 평생학습 연구의 한 영역으로 확장하고 학습활동을 사회적 실천과 균형적 관점에서 탐색하였다는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the identity and learning life of local activists with experiences of student and labor movement in the 1980s from the perspective of learning life. For this, four research participants who experienced the implementation of students, workers, and local activities were selected and their lives were examined using the life history research method. As a result, identity implementation and learning activities are identified as inseparable relationships in the inter-relational context. The identity transition displays the patterns of others recognition, identification, others acceptance based on otherness in the relationship with the weak and resistance to the situation of the times; shows an identification relationship with resistance, crack, and acceptance. According to the identity implementation, learning activities are changed according to the circumstances and reality of the times into ① learning activities to raise awareness together, ② learning activities to practice knowledge, and ③ learning activities in life. Learning activities based on the living life have been proposed and embodied in concrete stages as social practical learning that drives social change. This study attempts to advance the empirical discussion of adult learning one step further by expanding the meaning and location of identity to a study of lifelong learning by exploring learning activities and social practices from a balanced perspective.
