국문 초록

이 연구는 오랜 기간 동안 집단을 유지·존속시키는 집단의 학습형태로서, ‘집단재생산’ 학습의 양상과 특징을 탐색하였다. 집단이 시스템을 유지해나가고 이를 후대로 전달하는 집단재생산의 작동원리를 확인하고, 집단에서의 학습과 집단시스템이 결합되어 온 방식을 탐색함으로써 집단재생산 과정의 구조적 본질을 밝히고자 하였다. 이러한 목적에 따라, 언론사 기자집단의 수습기자 교육사례를 중심으로 문화기술지 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 기자집단의 학습은 집단의 강한 위계와 수직적 구조 하에 억압적이고 반인권적인 방식으로 이루어졌다. 이러한 학습 방식은 일방적이고 불균형한 지식전달체계를 뒷받침하여, 신입이 집단적 자산을 단기간에 압축적으로 수용할 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서, 이는 집단재생산에 가장 효과적이고 유리한 방식이었다. 이 연구는 집단에 대한 구조적인 접근 방식을 통하여, 이와 같은 집단재생산 학습의 작동원리를 집단-지식-학습의 순환적 자기규정 구조로 개념화하였다. 즉, 집단은 집단의 정치·사회적 맥락에 따라 집단시스템과 집단적 지식을 형성하고, 이를 학습을 통하여 후대로 전달하며 집단을 재생산하였다. 이러한 순환구조에서 학습은 집단시스템과 결합하여 집단을 유지하고 재생산하는 데 핵심적인 기능을 하였으며, 이 구조가 단단하게 결합하여 있을 때 집단은 지속적으로 재생산되었다.

영문 초록

This study explores the ‘collective reproductive learning’ that sustains the group for a long period of time. The purpose of this study is to identify the working principle of collective reproduction that the group maintains the system and transmits it to the next generation, and to explore the way in which learning that occurs in the group and the group system have been combined. Through this process, this study tried to reveal the structural essence of the collective reproduction process. In accordance with this purposes, this study conducted a longstanding ethnography method on the trainee journalist education system of a newspaper company. As a result of the study, journalist learning was conducted in an oppressive and anti-human rights manner under a strong group hierarchy and vertical structure. This characteristic was the most effective and advantageous method for collective reproduction that sustains the group by supporting a one-sided and unbalanced knowledge transfer system so that new recruits can compress the knowledge and assets of the group in a short period of time. To explain the essence of this collective reproductive learning, a cyclical self-regulation structure of group-knowledge-learning that reproduces the group through a structural approach to the group was derived. In other words, a group system and collective knowledge were formed under the political and social context of the group, and a cyclical structure appeared in which knowledge was transmitted to the next generation through learning in the group to reproduce the group system. In this structure, learning played a key role in maintaining and reproducing the group in conjunction with the group system.
