예술영성 형성을 위한 기독교교육과정 개발에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문은 위험사회로 불리는 후기 현대 사회에서 예술영성 형성을 위한 기독교 교육과정 개발의 아이디어를 제시하는데 그 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 위험사회론 및 예술영성에 대한 논의를 심층적으로 탐색하기 위해 종합 학문적인 접근에 따라 그와 관련된 문헌을 비판적으로 검토하였다. 그리고 본 연구는 크게 네 가지의 주제를 고찰하였다. 첫째는 위험사회와 영성을 탄생시킨 현대성의 위기란 무엇인지 ‘파편화’의 문제를 중심으로 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 둘째는 현대성의 위기를 극복하기 위한 방식으로써 ‘위험사회론’을 살펴보았다. 특히 울리히 벡(Ulrich Beck)의 위험사회론을 중심으로 한국사회의 문제점을 비판적으로 검토하였다. 셋째는 현대성의 위기 속에서 위기를 극복하기 위한 대안적 가치로써 ‘예술영성’을 제시하였다. 특히 본 논문은 현대적 의미의 영성인 ‘생활영성’을 예술의 계시성(revelation)-성례전성(sacramentality)-영광성(glorification)의 측면에서 재개념화하여 예술영성으로 새롭게 제시하였다. 끝으로 본 논문은 앞의 논의를 토대로 하여 예술영성형성을 위한 기독교 교육과정 개발시 고려해야할 사항들을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 그것은 곧 ① 현대성의 문제로써 파편화의 위기를 고려할 것, ② 한국사회는 고위험도의 사고사회라는 점, ③ 위험사회에서 추구해야할 기독교적 인간상으로써 “예술영성의 인간”을 추구할 것, ④ 교육 내용의 선정 시 위험사회에서 겪게 되는 다양한 ‘불안’을 치유하기 위한 예술영성 프로그램을 고려할 것 그리고 ⑤ 재개념주의자들의 주장에 따라 기독교 교육과정을 ‘예술영성 형성’을 위한 ‘쿠레레’로 이해할 것 등이다.

영문 초록

This research strives to furnish a study on Christian curriculum development for artistic spiritual formation in the post-modern society which is also known as the risk society. This research investigates on the literatures of the risk society and artistic spi-rituality to take interdisciplinary approach to critically assess the debates regarding on these issues. The research focuses on four particular subjects. First, revolved around the idea of “fragmentation”, this research depicts the crisis of modernity which gave birth to the relationship between the risk society and spirituality. Second, it explains how concept of “risk society” was implemented to overcome the crisis of modernity, Especially, the current issues of Korean society and responses to these issues are critically assessed under the Ulrich Beck’s theory of risk society. Third, artistic spirituality is suggested and valued to overcome the crisis of modernity. Furthermore, by reconceptualizing artistic spirituality in terms of reve-lation-sacramentality-glorification under “daily-life spirituality” which is a modern definition of spirituality, this research en-courages readers to vision artistic spirituality in different per-spectives to be more relevant to the current society. Lastly, this research provides a guideline or list of considerations when it is developing a Christian curriculum for artistic spiritual for-mation based on the previous parts of this research. The list is as follows: 1) to consider the risk of fragmentation in modern-ity, 2) to be aware of high-risk attitude of Korean society, 3) to feature an artistic characteristic of human being when describ-ing ideal Christian characteristics in the risk society, 4) to con-sider artistic spiritual formation program when selecting curric-ulum to cure anxieties derived from the risk society, and 5) to understand Christian Curriculum as “currere” for artistic spiri-tual formation.
