국문 초록

필자는 본고에서 디지털 큐레이션에 의거하여 신뢰할 수 있는 디지털 기록의 사료들을 확보하고 활용하는 디지털 역사학을 수행하자는 제안을 하였다. 디지털 아카이브와 디지털 큐레이션을 통해 기록의 4대 속성인, 진본성, 무결성, 신뢰성, 이용가능성을 유지하면서 디지털 역사학을 수행해야 함을 강조하였다. 디지털 역사학은 역사학의 한 분야가 아니라, 사료가 디지털 형태로 존재하는 시대에서의 일반적인 역사학의 방법이고 현상이라는 점도 강조하였다. 그렇다고 물리적 실체의 사료에 기반한 역사학이 약화되는 것도 아니고 두 형태의 역사학 사이에 상보관계가 형성되어 역사학을 더욱 풍요롭게 할 것임을 설명했다. 그러면서 디지털 역사학이 갖는 시·공을 초월하는 새로운 차원에 주목하고 이를 실현해야 함을 이야기 했다. 이와 함께 저자는 연계·융합의 특징 속에서 시·공을 초월하여 공공역사와 트랜스내셔널 역사를 실현하고 세계의 평화·상생의 길을 찾아 갈 수 있기를 희망한다.

영문 초록

This paper proposes to develop digital history based on digital archive and curation that secures and utilizes reliable sources of digital records. In other words, it suggests to develop digital history based on the 4 principles of records and archives management for authenticity, integrity, reliability, availability. It was also emphasized that digital history is not a certain field of history, but a general method and phenomenon of history in the era when historical materials exist in digital form. The author of this article explained that this would not weaken the history based on the historical material of physical entities. He emphasized that a complementary relationship between the two forms of historiography would be formed, which would further enrich the history. He also talked about the need to pay attention to the new dimension of digital history that transcends time and space. At the same time, he hopes that we will be able to realize the value of the public history and the transnational history based on it. Thus, he thinks that we would find a way to world peace and coexistence by transcending time and space in the characteristics of connection and convergence.
