국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 특수교육 및 관련 분야의 메타분석 논문을 미국 심리 학회에서 제시한 메타분석 보고 기준에 따라 분석하여, 이를 통해 메타분석 논문의 보고 수준을 알아보는데 있었다. 이를 위해 특수교육 및 관련 분야의 메타분석 논문 18편을 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 제목 및 초록에 대한 분석 결과 메타분석 방법에 대한 제시 항목을 제외하고 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 방법에 대한 분석 결과 메타분석 보고 기준의 세부항목 중 상당수의 항목에 대한 기술이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 결과에 대한 분석 결과 준거에 의해 배제된 연구물의 숫자와 예, 각 개별연구별 효과크기, 표본크기, 연구결과를 포함한 표 제공, 연구의 질 평가 항목에 대한 보고가 낮은 빈도로 나타났다. 넷째, 논의에 대한 분석 결과 대체적으로 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 특수교육 및 관련 분야의 메타분석 연구물들을 미국 심리학회에서 제시한 보고 기준에 따라 분석하여 타당성 확보를 위한 메타분석 연구의 보고 기준과 보고 기준에 대한 시각을 제공하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of meta-analysis in the special education and related field based on APA (American Psychological Association) meta-analysis reporting standard. We analyzed 18 meta-analyses related to special education. The analysis results are as follows: First, reviewers reported well in the title and abstract section except meta-analysis method description. Second, the description of method was very poor, and most items related to method and analysis were not reported in detail. Third, in the result section, many reviewers did not report the number and example of omitted papers, effect size and sample size of primary studies, research quality and so on. Fourth, meta-analysts reported well in the discussion section. This study have implications of analyzing meta-analysis researches based on APA meta-analysis reporting standard and trying to give guideline and perspectives for special education and related field researchers.
