장애인의 관광접근성 개선을 위한 해변 관광지의 유니버설디자인(universal design) 적용

국문 초록

장애인이 이용할 수 있는 관광시설 마련은 임산부, 노약자 등 취약계층뿐만 아니라 비장애인의 관광 활동 참여 기회를 확대하는 계기가 된다. 본 연구는 모두를 위한 관광(tour for all) 측면에서 화진포해수욕장을 대상으로 장애인의 관광접근성 측면에서 실시한 모니터링 결과를 토대로 유니버설디자인을 적용하여 장애인이 해변 관광지 활동에 참여할 수 있는 데크(deck) 개선 모델을 제안하였다. 분석을 통해 첫째, 모래사장 데크 설치, 둘째, 특수 휠체어의 비치, 셋째, 해수면 접근용 트랙 설치를 제안하였다. 이상의 제안을 통해 최종적으로 장애인 관광을 위한 화진포해수욕장 데크 개선 모델을 제안하였다. 향후, 다양한 관광지를 대상으로 유니버설디자인을 적용하여 장애인관광을 촉진할 수 있는 현실적인 방안들이 제시되길 기대한다.

영문 초록

Established tourist facilities for the disabled expands opportunities of tourism participation. The study proposed the deck model for improving disabled tourist activities in Hwajinpo tourists beach by applying universal design in terms of tour for all. The summary of result of this study was followed. The monitoring Hwajinpo beach was conducted and it found the present conditions and problems. Some improvements and deck model were suggested by applying the universal design according to the results. First, the efficiency of sandy beach deck needed to be considered. Second, equipping special wheel chairs were suggested. Third,installation of tracks for closing to the sea were suggested. Through those suggestions, the final deck mode was suggested for improving disabled tourists in Hwajinpo tourist beach. The application of universal design for facilitating travelling with disability was very important issues, so this study was very meaningful. It is expected that various ways will be suggested by applying universal design for encouraging travelling with disability focused on various tourism destination.
