여성장애인이 겪는 임신·출산·양육 어려움에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 여성장애인의 모성경험과 임신, 출산, 양육 과정에서 경험하게 되는 어려움과 문제점을 심층적으로 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 실효성 있는 지원방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 참여자의 장애유형과 자녀의 연령을 고려하여 구성된 6개 집단을 대상으로 집단면담을 활용한 질적 연구를 수행하였으며, 총 23명의 여성장애인이 참여하였다. 수집된 자료는 생애사적 특성을 고려하여 4가지 측면(임신·출산경험, 영유아, 아동기, 청소년기 양육경험)에서 분석되었으며, 각 단계에서 여성장애인이 경험하는 어려움의 구체적인 내용과 의미를 살펴보았다. 질적 분석된 결과를 중심으로 전문적인 정보 및 상담지원체계, 장애여성 친화적인 의료 환경 조성, 자녀의 성장발달 단계에 조응하는 다양한 양육지원방안, 전문사례관리시스템 구축 등을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This paper describes a qualitative study on the experiences of disabled women,especially focusing on the difficulties and social barriers they encounter during pregnancy and in childbirth. It also investigates various problems associated with mothering and motherhood. Six focus groups were held for disabled women according to type of disability and developmental stage of their children. The participant were 23 mothers with disabilities. Based upon the result of qualitative data analysis, this paper suggests that disabled women should be encouraged to access specialized information and counselling, disability-friendly health care services and integrative social support system in order to mitigate the difficulties they experience. It also recommends various social, educational services should be implemented and expanded to meet the needs of disabled mothers.
