국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 지역 자원을 활용한 체험형 영재교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 또한 이 프로그램이 초·중등 과학영재의 과학적 태도와 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 세계지질공원 등 제주 지역의 지역 자원을 활용한 체험형 영재교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 또한 이 프로그램은 J 대학교 부설 과학영재교육원 초·중등 과학영재 79명을 대상으로 적용하였다. 이 연구는 단일집단 사전사후 설계에 따라 진행되었다. 초·중등 과학영재들을 대상으로 과학적 태도와 과학 관련 태도에 대한 사전 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 과학적 태도에 대한 t-test 결과 사전 사후검사 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 특히 과학적 태도 하위 영역에 대한 분석 결과 개방성, 계속성, 비판성, 객관성, 협동성에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 그러나 과학 관련 태도에 대한 t-test에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이 연구의 결과는 지역 자원을 활용한 체험형 영재교육 프로그램이 과학영재들의 과학적 태도 함양에 효과적임을 나타내고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop experience-based education programs for gifted students using local resources. It is also to examine the impact of this program on the scientific attitude and science related attitude of elementary and middle school gifted students. For this study, an experience-based gifted education program was developed that utilizes local resources in the Jeju region such as World Geopark. In addition, the program was applied to 79 elementary and middle school students at the J University s Institute of Science and Gifted Education. This study was conducted in accordance with the single group pre-test and post-test design. Pre-test and post-test of scientific attitudes and science related attitudes was conducted on elementary and middle school science gifted students. The t-test results for scientific attitudes showed significant differences between pre-test and post-test. In particular, the analysis of the sub-area of scientific attitude revealed significant differences in openness, continuousness criticalness, objectivity and cooperation. However, there were no statistically significant differences in t-test on science related attitudes. The results of this study indicate that the experience-based education program for gifted students utilizing local resources is effective in cultivating scientific attitudes of the gifted.
