교사변인에 따른 초·중등 과학 영재담당교사의 영재수업에 대한 신념과 행동 비교

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 과학영재수업을 담당하는 초등과 중등교사의 영재수업에 대한 신념과 실천 행동을 교사변인인 학교급별, 성별, 영재교육경력별로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 단위학교 영재학급에서 영재수업을 수업을 맡고 있는 영재담당교사 263명(초등교사 183명, 중등교사 80명)을 대상으로 영재수업에 대한 신념과 행동을 측정하는 5단계 척도의 설문(5개 범주, 21문항)을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 초등교사와 중등교사의 영재수업에 대한 신념과 행동은 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 영재를 지도한 교육경력도 영재담당교사의 영재수업에 대한 신념과 행동에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 성별에서는 영재담당 초등 여교사의 경우 초등 남교사와 중등 여교사에 비하여 신념이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 행동에서는 남교사와 여교사 사이에 큰 차이가 없었다. 연구 결과를 토대로 영재수업에 대한 영재담당교사의 신념과 행동의지를 높일 수 있는 방안을 어떻게 탐색할 것인지를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the beliefs and behaviors on the gifted class of gifted education teachers by school level, gender, and gifted education career as teacher variables. For this study, a 5-scaled questionnaire (5 categories, 21 items) was administered to 263 teachers (183 elementary teachers, 80 secondary teachers) who were in charge of gifted education for elementary and secondary science gifted students. The results of the study were as follows: There was no significant difference in the beliefs and behaviors between elementary and secondary teachers in the gifted class, and the educational career of teaching the gifted did not significantly affect the beliefs and behaviors of the gifted class. In terms of gender, elementary female teachers in charge of gifted students had higher beliefs than elementary male teachers and secondary female teachers, and there was no significant difference in behaviors between male teachers and female teachers. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested how to explore a ways to increase the beliefs and willingness to act in the gifted class.
