세대교육으로서 기술교육의 지속성 고찰

국문 초록

세계 각국에서 인구의 고령화와 출생률 감소 현상에 따라 국가의 사회 및 경제시스템에서 변화가 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 변화 가운데 세대 간 교육의 지속성에 주목하였고 베이비붐세대가 은퇴하면서 공백이 생기는 가운데 기술인력 세대가 어떻게 연계될 수 있는지에 관해 고민하면서 기술교육을 통한 지속가능성을 살펴보았다. 세대 간 교육에 대해서는 이미 그 필요성이 있지만 이를 기술교육, 즉 기술인을 양성하는 차원에서의 고민은 적었다고 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 기술세대가 형성되는 1970년대 이후 전통적 숙련에서 현대적 기술인으로서 테크니션의 형성을 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 사회변화에 따라 이 기술부문의 숙련인 교육을 연계해나가기 위해 정책적으로 등장한 마이스터고의 설립에 대한 담론과 기술교육을 통한 숙련인 양성과정, 그리고 그 역할에 대해 주목하여 고찰하였다. 본 연구는 문헌분석, 면담을 통한 질적연구방법을 사용하였고 이제까지 주목되지 않았던 기술세대의 교육과 세대 간 교육의 중요성을 환기하고자 한다.

영문 초록

In countries around the world, changes are taking place in the country s social and economic systems as the population is aging and the birth rate is decreasing. This study focused on the continuity of intergenerational education among these changes, and looked at the sustainability through technology education while thinking about how the generation of technical personnel can be connected amid gaps in the baby boom generation s retirement. There is already a need for intergenerational education, but it seems that there were few concerns in terms of technical education, that is, to cultivate technicians. This study attempts to examine the formation of technicians as modern technicians from traditional skills since the 1970s, when the Korean technology generation was formed. In addition, the discourse on the establishment of Meister High School, which appeared as a policy to link the education of skilled workers in this technology sector according to social changes, and the course of training skilled workers through technology education, and its role were examined. This study used a qualitative research method through literature analysis and interviews, and attempts to evoke the importance of education of the technology generation and intergenerational education that have not been noticed so far.
