사회적기업의 성과 및 지속가능성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 사회적기업의 구성원 특성 요인(최고경영자의 역량, 종업원 역량, 사회적기업가 교육 이수)과 사회적기업의 기업 특성 요인(지배구조, 회계시스템, 사회적기업 인증성적)이 사회적기업의 경제적 성과과 사회적 성과 및 지속가능성에 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 우선 문헌적 연구방법에 의하여 이론적 배경과 선행연구를 정리하고, 이어서 설문지법을 통하여 사회적기업 및 예비사회적기업의 근무자들을 대상으로 설문지 700부를 배부하여 260부를 회수하여 이 중 258 부를 통계적 분석에 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적기업의 경제적 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 분석결과, 최고경영자의 역량이 높을수록, 종업원 역량이 높을수록, 회계시스템의 운영이 좋을수록, 사회적기업 인증시 성적이 높을수록 사회적기업의 경제적 성과는 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 구성원 특성요인 중 사회적기업가 교육과정 이수와 기업 특성 요인 중 사회적기업의 지배구조, 그리고 사회적기업의 인증여부는 경제적 성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적기업의 사회적 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 분석결과, 최고경영자의 역량이 높을수록, 종업원 역량이 높을수록, 사회적기업가 교육과정을 잘 이수할수록, 회계시스템의 운영이 좋을수록, 사회적기업의 지배구조가 민주적일수록, 사회적기업 인증시 성적이 높을수록 사회적기업의 사회적 성과는 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 사회적기업의 인증여부는 사회적 성과에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회적기업의 경제적 성과와 사회적 성과간의 관련성을 분석한 결과, 사회적 성과는 경제적 성과에 음(-)의 유의적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 역시 경제적 성과도 사회적 성과에 음(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사회적기업의 성과가 지속가능성에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과. 사회적기업의 경제적 성과가 높을수록, 그리고 사회적 성과가 높을수록 사회적기업의 지속가능성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 사회적기업의 인증여부도 지속가능성에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the factors which have influence on the social enterprise’s performance and sustainability. To achieve the purpose of this study, I looked into theoretical background and prior research by literature review. This study also performed questionnaires method with employees of social enterprise and reserve social enterprise. I distributed 700 questionnaires and 258 copies were used for statistical analysis out of 260 collected questionnaires. The results of this study are as below. First, as a result of analysis for the factors effect economic performance of social enterprise, economic performance of social enterprise gets higher, as CEO capability goes higher, employees capability goes higher, accounting system level goes higher, and social enterprise certification score goes higher. However, ‘completion of academy for social enterprise entrepreneur’ and ‘corporate governance of social enterprise’ did not present significant effect on economic performance of social enterprise. Second, as a result of analysis for the factors effect social performance of social enterprise, social performance of social enterprise gets higher value, if CEO capability is higher, employees capability is higher, curriculum for social enterprise entrepreneur is well completed, corporate governance is more democratic, and social enterprise certification score is higher. Third, as a result of analysis of correlation between social enterprise’s economic performance and social performance, social performance is negatively related to economic performance. This means that if the enterprise performs more social contribution such as employment of the weak and offering social service, the value for economic performance goes lower. Fourth, as a result of analysis for the effect of social enterprise performance on sustainability, with the higher value of economic and social performance, sustainability of social enterprise goes higher. This result means that sustainable management will be possible if the social enterprises achieve economic performance and social performance simultaneously.
