국문 초록

이 연구는 영화 <사도>의 내러티브 양상과 주인공의 분노 심리적 서사구조를 도출한 것이다. 구체적인 작업으로 작품의 구성적 특징 파악, 시퀀스 내부의 구조에 입각한 내러티브 양상 분석, 주인공의 분노 유발구조 분석, 그 구조의 형성에 근거가 되는 장면 및 대사 분석이 이루어졌다. 작품의 구성적 특징으로, 이 영화는 임오화변 관련 8개 시퀀스 중 6개 시퀀스에서 각각 현재 시점이 과거 시점으로 전환되는 양상을 보이며, 주인공의 분노 표출양상은 과거 시점이 구성하고 있는 서사에서 나타난다. 작품의 내러티브 양상으로, 이 영화는 크게 ‘현재 시점의 이야기’와 ‘과거 시점의 이야기’로 구분된다. 이 중 전자는 사도세자에 관한 서술적 역사와 상상적 역사의 영화적 재현에 따른 결과 그 자체다. 후자의 경우에는 서술적 역사에 기반하되 상상적 역사가 보조적으로 동원되며, 여기서 파생된 역사인식은 세자 개인의 역사에 대한 ‘현재와 과거의 대화’를 가능하게 해주는 매개 역할을 한다. 주인공의 분노 유발구조는 크게 ‘불쾌사건’, ‘분노 존재’, ‘분노 조절시도’, ‘통제력 상실’, ‘보복행위 시도 및 철회’ 등 다섯 가지 심리상태가 순차적으로 진행되는 구조다. 이 구조형성에 근거가 되는 장면 및 대사 분석결과를 보면, 불쾌사건을 설명할 수 있는 대사는 2개 장면에 나타난다. 그리고 분노존재는 4개 장면, 분노 조절시도는 2개 장면, 통제력 상실은 무려 7개 장면, 보복행위 시도 및 철회는 1개 장면에 나타난다. 여기서 분노 조절시도 관련 장면이 매우 적은 데 반해, 통제력 상실 관련 장면은 영화의 전체 장면에서 가장 많은 것이 특징이다. 이는 본 영화의 장르가 역사적 사실에 기반한 정통사극이기 때문이다. 그러므로 역사적 상상력에 기반한 분노 조절시도는 절제할 수밖에 없고, 역사적 사실에 기반한 통제력 상실의 문제는 최대한 풍부하게 표현해야 했던 것이다.

영문 초록

The study is based on the narratives of the movie and the anger-psychological narrative of the main character. Specific tasks included identifying the compositional characteristics of the work, analyzing the narratives based on the structure inside the sequence, analyzing the structure of anger inducement of the main character, and analyzing scenes and lines based on the formation of the structure. As a compositional feature of the work, the film shows the current point of time shifting from the past point of time to the past in six of the eight sequences related to Im-Oh-Hwa-Byeon, and the main character s expression of anger appears in the narrative that the past point constitutes. In terms of the narratives of the film, the film is largely divided into The Story of the Present Time and The Story of the Past. Of these, the former is the result of the cinematic reproduction of the narrative history and the imaginative history of the crown prince, and the latter is based on the factual history but serves as a medium to enable the audience to have a conversation between the present and the past of the crown prince sado individual history. The main character s anger-inducing structure is a structure in which five psychological states are carried out sequentially: unwilling events, existence of anger, attempting to control anger, loss of control and attempting and withdrawing retaliation. If you look at the scenes and the results of the analysis of the lines based on the structure, the lines that can explain the unpleasant events appear in two scenes. There are four scenes of anger, two scenes of anger control, seven scenes of loss of control, and one scene of revenge attempt and withdrawal. While there are very few scenes related to anger control, the scenes related to loss of control are characterized by the most in the entire scene of the movie. This is because the genre of this movie is an authentic historical drama based on historical facts. Thus, attempts to control anger based on historical imagination have to be restrained, and the problem of loss of control based on historical facts has had to be expressed as abundantly as possible.
