국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학 신입생의 비합리적 신념과 자기효능감 및 대학생활 적응과의 관계를 파악하고 비합리적 신념과 대학생활 적응과의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하기 위한 서술조사 연구이다. 수도권 소재 2개 간호학과 신입생을 편의 표집 하였고 비합리적 신념, 자기효능감, 및 대학생활 적응을 171명에게 측정하였다. 자료는 Mann-Whitney 검정, Kruskal-Wallis 검정, Pearson 상관분석, 3단계 매개회귀분석 및 Sobel 검정으로 분석하였다. 비합리적 신념은 자기효능감과 대학생활 적응과 음의 상관관계를 보였고 자기효능감과 대학생활 적응은 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 3단계 매개회귀분석을 한 결과, 1단계에서 비합리적 신념이 낮을수록 자기효능감이 높아지며 설명력은 14.0%로 중간정도의 효과를 보였다. 2단계와 3단계에서 비합리적 신념이 낮을수록, 자기효능감이 높을수록 대학생활 적응이 높아지며 자기효능감의 설명력은 36.1%로 가장 큰 영향을 주고 큰 효과를 보였다. Sobel 검정 결과, 비합리적 신념과 대학생활 적응과의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과가 드러났다. 또한 비합리적 신념이 대학생활 적응에 유의한 영향을 주어 자기효능감이 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학 신입생의 비합리적 신념을 낮추고 자기효능감을 증진시키는 상담 프로그램 적용이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study examines the relationships among irrational beliefs, self-efficacy, and adjustment to college, and confirms how irrational beliefs impacts self-efficacy and adjustment to college, and determines the mediating effect of self-efficacy in four-year course nursing freshmen. This study used a descriptive design. One-hundred seventy-one nursing freshmen agreed to participate in this study, and completed questionnaires of a irrational beliefs, a self-efficacy, and a adjustment to college. Data were analyzed t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson correlation coefficients, three-step mediated regression, and Sobel test. Irrational beliefs negatively correlated with self-efficacy and adjustment to college. Lower irrational beliefs affected higher self-efficacy explained 14% of variance. Self-efficacy and irrational beliefs were predictors of adjustment to college explained 36.1% of variance. Self-efficacy mediated the relationship between irrational beliefs and adjustment to college. The results suggest that a nursing-specific first-year program to enhance self-efficacy and reduce irrational beliefs could be developed as an effective strategy for the adjustment to college.
