국문 초록

본 연구는 대학에서 운영되고 있는 학습 프로그램에 대한 체계적 학습지원과 활성화를 위한 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구 목적을 달성하고자 충청북도 A 대학에 재학 중인 학생들을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 시행하였다. 인터뷰를 통해 학습 프로그램에 대한 전반적인 인식, 프로그램 참여로 인한 경험적 효과 등을 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신입생의 경우 대학에서 과제를 해결하거나 시험을 볼 때 학습전략 활용이 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 학습전략에 대한 이론 습득과 실습에 대한 학습지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 대학에서 요구하는 학습 활동이 생소하여 교양을 포함한 전공 교과목에서 어떻게 학습할 때 긍정적인 결과를 얻게 되는지에 대한 고민하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 각 대학에서는 재학생들이 각자 설정한 학습목표 달성을 위해 학습 측면에서 도움을 줄 수 있는 방향에 초점을 맞춰 학습설계를 지속적으로 지원해 줄 필요가 있다. 셋째, 재학생의 요구에 기반한 양질의 학습 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다. 대학 내에서도 학습 프로그램 운영을 위한 첫 단계인 요구분석의 방법과 질을 높일 필요가 있다. 넷째, 학습 프로그램의 개발 및 운영 뿐만 아니라 평가 및 사후관리 체계에 대해서도 주목할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 대학에서는 학습 프로그램에 대한 자체 평가 등을 도입하여 프로그램의 질적 개선을 도모할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study explored ways to support and revitalize learners’ systematic learning based on an analysis of the status of learning programs. Interviews were conducted with 34 students attending K University. The overall perception of the learning program and the empirical effect of participating in the program were analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, freshmen were found to face difficulty in using learning strategies when performing tasks or taking exams. Second, the interviews’ results showed that the university’s learning activities were unfamiliar, and that students worried about the learning process and results regarding major subjects, including liberal arts. Therefore, it is necessary for universities to continuously support learning design by focusing on the direction in which students can help achieve their learning goals. Third, it is necessary to develop a quality learning program based on students’ needs, and to improve the method and quality of demand analysis, which is the first step in operating a learning program within a university. Fourth, the evaluation and follow-up management system, as well as the development and operation of learning programs should be considered. Thus, it is necessary for universities to introduce the self-assessment of learning programs and to improve the quality of programs.
