국문 초록

본 연구에서는 텔레비전 시청자들의 채널전환(zapping) 횟수가 어떠한 요인들에 의하여 영향받는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 채널전환 여부만을 고려하는 로지스틱 회귀모형은 횟수에 관한 정보를 사용하지 못하기 때문에 정보 손실이 발생할 수 있다. 이에 대한 대안으로 본 연구에서는 채널전환 여부 뿐만아니라 채널전환 횟수까지도 동시에 고려하는 제로팽창 포아송(zero-inflated Poisson, ZIP) 회귀모형 및 제로팽창 음이항(zero-inflated negative binomial, ZINB) 회귀모형의 사용을 제안하였다. 실제 자료에 대한 모형적합결과 AIC를 비롯한 모형선택기준에서 ZINB 모형이 ZIP 모형에 비하여 좀 더 나은 적합결과를 제공해주었다.

영문 초록

This paper studies on the factors that affect the number of TV audience s channel zapping. Usual logistic regression method, considering only yes or no of channel zapping, may lose much information because of not using information about frequency. As an alternative, this study proposes both zero-inflated Poisson(ZIP) and zero-inflated negative binomial(ZINB) regression model which consider the yes or no of channel zapping as well as the number of channel zapping. As a result of an actual data, the ZINB model provides the better fits than the ZIP model in the model selection criteria such as AIC.
