국문 초록

실험설계 및 분석에 관한 문헌 중에는 다요인실험의 분석 부분에 각 요인에 대해 가로축에 요인 수준값, 세로축에 반응값을 놓는 상자그림들이 등장하는 것이 있다. 이러한 상자그림들은, 다요인실험에서의 반응은 다수 요인들의 영향을 받을 수 있으므로, 가로축에 놓인 요인이 반응의 산포에 주는 개별적 영향을 나타낸다고 할 수 없어 적절하지 않은 것으로 보인다. 본 연구가 제안하는 방법을 사용하면, 이러한 상자그림들을 적절한 상자그림들로 대체할 수 있다. 본 논문은 균형 다요인 자료에 주 효과 모형을 적합시킬 때의 반응값 재표현 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법의 목적은 반응의 위치와 산포에 대한 각 요인의 개별적 영향을 평가하고 시각화하며, 반응평균의 최대화 또는 최소화 및 반응변동의 최소화를 고려하여 각 요인의 최적 요인수준을 결정하는 것이다. 이 방법은 선형모형에서의 잔차의 개념을 이용하여 개발되었다. 사례 연구에서 적절한 통계 패키지의 사용에 의한 이 방법의 실제 자료에의 적용을 예시한다.

영문 초록

Some literature on experimental design and analysis contains, in its parts on analysis of a factorial experiment, boxplots placing the levels of each factor on the horizontal axis and the response values on the vertical axis. Such boxplots do not seem appropriate since the response in a factorial experiment can be under the influence of multiple factors and thus they may not be able to show the individual influence of the factor placed on the horizontal axis upon the response. Using the method this research proposes, these boxplots can be replaced by appropriate ones. This article proposes a method to reexpress response values when fitting a main effects model to balanced multifactor data. The purposes of this method are to evaluate and visualize the influence of each factor upon the response mean and response variation, and to determine the optimal levels of each factor for either maximization or minimization of the response mean and minimization of response variation. This method has been developed using the concept of the residual in a linear model. A case study illustrates an application of this method to real data by the use of an appropriate statistical package.
