아날로그에서 디지털로, 전시의 두 가지 양상에 대한 연구

국문 초록

신체의 일부처럼 밀착된 모바일 기기로 세계와 소통하고, 인공지능 로봇으로 신의 영역에 도전하는오늘날의 인류는 반 고흐를 어떻게 만나고 있는가? 본고는 이 점에 대해서 두 가지 관점에서 생각해보았다. 하나는 아날로그적 예술 향유로, 오르세뮤지엄에 전시된 원작을 보는 것과 지독한 외로움에시달려 결국은 자살에 이른 장소인 오베르 쉬르 우아즈(Auvers-Sur-Oise)를 방문하는 일종의 예술 성지 순례이다. 다른 하나는 디지털로 해석되고 표현된 예술로, 멀티미디어영상전시이다. 이것은 테크놀로지를 기반으로 한 공감각적 몰입형 전시이다. 고흐를 대상으로 한 디지털콘텐츠의 사례로는 ‘빛의 채석장’의《고갱(Gauguin) - 반 고흐(Van Gogh), 색채의 화가들》과 구(舊)서울역사에서 진행된 《반 고흐인사이드-빛과 음악의 축제》를 들 수 있다. 전자는 프랑스 남부의 레 보 드 프로방스(Les Beaux de Provence)의 오래된 채석장이 2012년 새로운 형태의 멀티미디어영상전시를 시도하면서 ‘고갱과 고흐’ 라는 거장을 기획전시의 테마로 삼은 경우이다. 이 채석장은 해마다 새로운 예술가의 작품을 다루는기획전시를 열면서 기괴한 암석 동굴로 대중을 초대한다. 한편, 후자인《반 고흐 인사이드-빛과 음악의 축제》는 우리나라에서 펼쳐진 멀티미디어영상전시이다. 2016년 1월8일에서 4월17일까지 진행된 이 전시의 첫 번째 장소는‘문화역서울284’로 문화공간으로 재탄생한 구(舊)서울역사이다. 몰입형 전시의 공감각적 체험은 원작의 감동과는 또 다른 매력으로 대중에게 다가왔다. 그렇다면 이러한 몰입형 전시에 매료된 대중은 원작의 감동을 외면할 것인가? 아니면 몰입형 전시로 인해 감동을 받은 대중이 고전적인 예술 향유를 위한 긴 여정을 떠날 것인가? 아마도 양자는 서로 견제하고 보완하면서 새로운 방식의 예술 향유문화를 도출하여 낼 것이다.

영문 초록

The mankind of today communicates with the world by a mobile adhered to them. By challenging the area of God with an intelligent robot, how do they meet Gogh? This study intends to consider this in two kinds of view point. One is an enjoyment of art by traditional method. That includes watching the exhibition in the museum or visiting the relics where the history of artists is preserved. That is, a kind of art pilgrimage that watches the original works exhibited in Orsay Museum or visiting Auvers sur Oise who left behind works despite of hard situation who suffered from the terrible loneliness and finally killed himself. Another one is a digitally interpreted and expressed art, which is a multimedia show. This attracts people to the state of immersion beyond the aura of the original work sometimes. As an example of digital contents for Gogh, there are 「Gauguin - Van Gogh, the Artists of Colors」 by ‘the Quarry of Lights’ and ‘Van Gogh Inside’ held in the old Seoul Station. The former is the case that attempted the new multimedia video exhibition in 2012 for the old quarry of Les Beaux de Provence in the southern region of France and handled two art masters ‘Gauguin and Gogh’ as the theme of special exhibition. This quarry holds the special exhibition that exhibits the works of new artists every year and invites people to the grotesque rock cave. It is attributable to the artistic evaluation and attraction and his phase in art history that Gogh has, but eventually to the fact that they consider that this is the surest method that guarantees the big success. Thanks to that, people now can enjoy Gogh and his art works in the stage of immersion without spending too much cost and time.
