순천시 죽도봉 공원 관광활성화 방안 연구

국문 초록

본격적인 지방자치의 시대에 문화관광을 촉진하기 위한 지역의 개발 사업들은 최근 들어 전면적인 신개발보다는 기존의 낙후된 시설을 재생하는 데에 초점이 맞추어지고 있다. 리사이클링(recycling), 업사이클링(upcycling)을 포함한 재생의 개념은 지역의 정체성을 최대한 보존하고 지역주민의 문화 활동을 장려하여 방문객이 체험할 수 있는 문화관광 콘텐츠를 탄생시킬 수 있는 가능성을 더욱 확대하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 위와 같은 순천시의 원 도심 재생사업의 큰 맥락 하에 죽도봉 공원의 관광활성화 방안에 접근하고자 하였으며, 건축가, 공간 디자이너, 공연 연출가, 예술경영 전문가로 구성된 다 학제적 협력연구를 통해 구체적 실행 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 기존 순천시의 문화관광자원의 외곽 편향성을 극복하고 호남선 KTX 개통 이후 부쩍 늘어난 철도 이용 관광객을 수용하여, 순천역-철도관사마을-죽도봉 공원-원 도심을 연결하는 문화관광벨트 개발을 제안하였다. 그를 위해, 죽도봉 공원을 어린이 공연 테마파크 <순천 동화의 정원>으로 탈바꿈시켜 순천시 문화관광 콘텐츠 중에 미비한 어린이 문화관광 콘텐츠를 개발하고자하였다. <순천 동화의 정원>은 정원의 도시 순천의 브랜드 이미지와 연계하여 정원이라는 주제로 브랜딩하였다. 자연을 소재로 하는 특별한 테마(어린이, 동화, 공연, 테마파크)를 더하여 특색 있는 정원형 테마파크로 브랜드 차별화를 목표하였다.

영문 초록

Local development projects in Korea is currently attempting to focus on regenerating previous old infrastructures rather than a fully brand new removal for promoting culture and tourism in a real local government era. The concept of urban regeneration including recycling and upcycling is trying to preserve a local identity and encourage local people’s cultural activities so that could attain the possibility of creating culture and tourism contents which tourists experience. According to this kind of huge contexts of old downtown regeneration projects of Suncheon city, I approached to the study of revitalizing tourism of Jukdobong, and suggested specific action plans through a multidisciplinary study consisted of architect, space designer, performance director, and show business expert. As a result, I suggested that overcoming a suburb biased characteristic of cultural and tourism resources in Suncheon and developing culture & tourism belt which are connected through Suncheon station-railway official residence village-Jukdobong Park-old downtown in order to absorb railway tourists whose numbers are growing after opening Honam KTX line. I attempted to transform Jukdobong Park into children performance theme park, and finally develop culture and tourism contents for children missed in the contents of Suncheon city. is established as a theme of garden, which connected to the brand image of Suncheon as the city of garden. This study aimed at brand difference as unique garden theme park adding special theme such as children, tale, performance, theme park.
