국문 초록

본 연구는 창업기업 조직구성원에 대한 설문조사 자료를 활용하여 창업기업의 성과를 결정하는 요인을 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 조직구성원 개인의 창의성과 외적네트워크 역량이 해당 기업의 내부적 혁신문화 및 기술사업화에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 구조방정식을 사용하여 각 변수 간 경로계수를 추정하고, 이를 통해 변수들 간 인과관계 및 매개효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인의 창의성은 기업 내부의 혁신문화에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 외적네트워크는 기업 내부의 혁신문화와 기술사업화에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 기업 내부의 혁신문화는 기술사업화와 기업성과에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 기술사업화는 기업성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 창업기업 조직구성원의 역량이 기업 성공의 중요한 요인임을 밝히고 있다는 점에서, 창업기업의 성공과 조직의 혁신은 CEO의 역량에 의존한다는 기존 연구와 차별화 된다. 본 연구는 조직구성원의 개인 창의성과 외적네트워크 역량을 잘 활용할 수 있는 기업문화를 조성하는 것이 창업기업의 중요한 성공요인임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study examines how individual creativity and external networks affect internal innovation culture and technology commercialization, which determine performance of start-up firms. Using the data collected from 172 employees of start-up firms, this study analyzes the causal and mediating relationships among five variables, individual creativity, external networks, internal innovation culture, technology commercialization, and firm performance. This study reports four important findings. First, individual creativity positively influences internal innovation culture. Second, external networks positively influence internal innovation culture and technology commercialization. Thirds, internal innovation culture positively affects firm performance. Fourth, internal innovation culture and technology commercialization influence firm performance. While previous literature focuses only on CEO’s characteristics, this study provides evidence that employee’s creativity and external networks do matter as well. This is the main contribution of this study. The result of this study implies that it is important for start-up firms to cultivate internal innovation culture to foster employees’ creativity and external network.
