『아Q정전』의 번역현황과 시대별 특징에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

『아Q정전』은 노신의 대표적 작품이다. 본고에서는 그 중 35종의 번역본을 연구대상으로 『아Q정전』 번역본의 시대별 특징을 개관해 보았다. 전체적으로 볼 때 1970년대에는 한국어 표현과 독자들의 이해도를 높이기 위해 번안 풍이 남아 있던 시대였고, 1980년대는 명사와 문인들이 번역에 많이 참여하였으며 일본어 번역본을 중역하던 경향이 있는 시대였다. 1990년대는 대부분 상업적 목적으로 번역에 종사하던 사람들에 의해 번역이 이루어졌으므로 번역자보다는 출판사가 주도권을 행사하던 시기였다. 2000년대는 노신문학회를 포함하여 전문적으로 현대문학을 연구하는 학자, 교수들이 번역에 직접 임한 시대라는 것이 특징적이다. 2010년대의 주된 특징은 현대문학 혹은 노신연구전문가들이 번역에 적극 임하였는데 특히 루쉰전집번역위원회에서 『루쉰전집』(전권20권)을 번역 출판했다.

영문 초록

Lu Xun‘s representative work, the true story of ah Q, has been published in over 90 translations since 1960. This paper studies the characteristics of The Times of 35 translated versions. The 1970s were a era of near-rewritten translations to improve readers’ understanding. The 1980s was a era when the leading scholars in the cultural circle and the literati were more involved in translation. This period is also characterized by translators finding themselves did not translating the original Chinese but retranslating the translated Japanese version again. The 1990s was an era of planned publication for commercial purposes. Therefore, plagiarism and duplication are often found. This also means that this era of translation is a time when publishers exercise more dominant power than translators. The 2000s was a time when scholars or professors specializing in modern literature were directly engaged in translation. The 2010s were a time when Lu Xun scholars were actively engaged in translation. Lu Xun Translation Committee (2010) gathered the strength of all Lu Xun researchers and translated the complete works of Lu Xun(20 volumes). This exposition Outlines the characteristics of each era. But the characteristics of each era are not unique to that era. For example, translation by professional translators is also a uniform phenomenon throughout the whole period. Therefore, the characteristics of the periods proposed in this argument should be understood to be relatively prominent in comparison with other eras.
