국문 초록

이 연구는 한국 근대 시문학의 형성과 전개의 과정을 보다 효율적으로 교육하기 위한 하나의 모형을 모색하기 위해 1920년대에 활약한 홍사용과 이상화의 시를 대상으로 그 변화와 지속의 양상을 고찰한다. 이러한 시적 경향의 지속 및 변화 원인과 배경을 다양한 콘텍스트 자료를 통해 추론하는 동시에 이를 통해 당시 근대 시문학의 전개 과정을 일정한 체계의 모형 아래 조망해 보는 것이 이 연구의 최종 목적이다. 이를 위해 내부적인 계승의 관계를 중시하는 ‘전통성’과 외부적인 수용의 관계를 강조하는 ‘외래성’이라는 두 가지 자질을 하나의 축으로 삼아 텍스트 상호간 영향의 관계를 조망한다. 이어서 텍스트의 내용에 있어서 개인의 사적인 체험을 중시하는 ‘내면성’과 사회의 공적인 경험을 강조하는 ‘외면성’이라는 두 가지 자질을 또 하나의 축으로 삼아 시적 주체의 지향성을 고찰한다.이러한 모형을 기준으로 이 연구의 논의 대상인 홍사용과 이상화의 시를 살펴보면 그들의 변모 양상을 보다 구조적으로 파악할 수 있다. 다시 말해, 초기에 공통적으로 ‘내면성’과 ‘외래성’이 부각된 시를 주로 발표하던 두 시인은 이후 홍사용의 경우 ‘전통성’ 강화되는 방향으로, 그리고 이상화의 경우 ‘외면성’이 강조되는 방향으로 각기 다르게 변모하였다는 사실을 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This essay intends to examine the education model about Hong, Sayong and Lee, Sanghwa’s poems in the Korean literary history. Through this study, I will describe how the poetic subjects of their poems were changing depend on diachronic perspective. By clarifying the mode of diachronic change, I will look into the continuity and variation in their poems. This study tries to examine the poetry, being based on the concept of ‘double-sided intention’ which contains two different aspects. The ‘conventional intention’, ‘foreign intention’ and ‘internal intention’, ‘external intention’ as a main topic in this study are the key concept to understand the 1920’s poetry which were presented in various styles. Hong, Sayong concentrated his energies on ‘internal intention’ through all his life. But Lee, Sanghwa composed his poems on the basis of the ‘foreign intention.’ In spite of this difference, they were hoping for gaining integration between the reality and the fantasticality in literature.
