역사 교과서에 나타난 ‘백제 부흥전쟁’ 관련검토

국문 초록

본고는 660년 백제 붕괴 이후 백제인들의 백제 부흥활동에 대한 역대 교과서 서술을 검토하여 관련 내용 정리 및 문제점 논의를 진행한 논문이다. 이를 통해 다음과 같은 내용을 확인하였다. 먼저, 한국의 역사 교과서에서 백제 부흥활동은 단일민족국가를 지향하는 한국 근현대사적 분위기 속에서 백제부흥 활동에 대한 객관적 평가보다는 지도부의 분열에 의해 부흥활동이 좌절된 내용이 부각되어 교과서에 서술되는 경향이 강하였다. 또한, ‘백제 부흥운동’이란 역사 용어가 미군정기 개념 논의없이 사용된 이래 현재까지 사용되고 있는 문제와 백제 부흥전쟁의 동아시아사적 역사의미 부각이 미흡한 점, 그리고 주류성의 정확한 위치에 대한 학계의 연구성과 미반영이 문제로 확인되었다. 따라서 이 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 향후 교육과정 개편시 이들 문제점이 수정되어 반영될 수 있도록 ‘백제 부흥운동’을 ‘백제 부흥전쟁’으로 역사교과서 편수용어 개편이 시급하다. 이와 함께 학계의 중심 견해로 자리 잡은 백제 부흥군 거점 주류성을 부안지역으로 보는 견해의 교과서 반영과 백강 전투의 동아시아사적 의미 확산을 위한 내용보강 및 지속적인 홍보와 교육이 요청된다.

영문 초록

This paper is a review of all the textbook descriptions of the Baekje revival activities caused by the Baekje people after the collapse of Baekje in 660. Through this, the following contents were reviewed. First of all, Baekje revival activities in Korean history textbooks were described in textbooks because the revival activities were frustrated by the division of leadership. This is due to the political ideology that emphasizes Silla unification rather than an objective evaluation of Baekje revival activities in the Korean modern atmosphere aimed at a single nation. Second, there is a problem that the term “Baekje Revival Movement(百濟復興運動)” has been used to date since it was used without discussing the concept of US military rule. Third, the significance of East Asian historical history of Baekje Revival War was insufficient. Fourth, the recent research achievements of the academic community regarding the precise location of Juryuseung(周留城) were not recognized. Therefore, in order to solve such problems, it is urgent to reorganize the history textbooks in terms of the Baekje Revival Movement(百濟復興運動) and the Baekje Revival War(百濟復興戰爭). At the same time, it is necessary to reflect the textbooks that view the mainstream of Baekje Revival Army, which is the center of academic circles, as the Buan(扶安) area. In addition, continuous promotion and education are required to spread the meaning of East Asian history of the Battle of Baek-River(白江).
