국문 초록

우리나라의 지역사회 중심 미술교육은 지난 10여년간 지역문화진흥법, 문화예술진흥법, 문화예술교육지원법 등의 정책을 기반으로 공공의 분야에서 지속적인 재정지원이 이루어져 왔다. 학교에 한정되어 있던 교육의 공간을 학습자의 일상적 삶이 이루어지는 지역사회로 확장시켜 미술교육의 주제를 다루며 새로운 교육지평을 제시하기 때문에 최근 교육영역에서 큰 주목을 받고 있다. 특히, 통합 융합교육의 관점에서 지역사회의 참여, 공동체 의식 함양, 일상연계, 인문학 등 다양한 학습요소를 아우를 수 있어서 교육적 활용성 및 가치가 높다. 학습자의 개인적 경험이 인지적 정서적 사고로 전환되는 과정을 수반하기 때문에 지역의 역사 생태 환경 지형 전통 문화예술 등과 맥락을 같이 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지역사회 중심 미술교육과 관련된 정부의 재정지원 현황을 조사 분석하여 국내에서 이루어지고 있는 지역사회 중심 미술교육 활동에 대한 전반적 흐름과 양상을 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 연도별, 지원대상별, 지원주제별, 지원방법별, 지원주체별로 구분하여 5가지 측면에서 자료를 분류하고 각각의 시사점을 도출하여 정리하였다. 이와 같은 분석 결과는 지역사회 중심 미술교육이 학교현장에 실현되기 위한 기초적인 기반 마련의 차원에서 유의미한 가치를 지니며 교육적 활용범위를 파악하고 향후 발전을 위한 기초연구로서 필요성을 지닌다. 앞으로 더욱 구체적인 후속 연구들이 이어져서 미술교육의 당위성과 확장성에 기여할 수 있기를 기대해본다.

영문 초록

For the past decade in Korean, community based art education has been provided with continued financial support in the public sector based on policies such as the Local Culture Promotion Act, the Culture and Arts Promotion Act, and the Culture and Arts Education Promotion Act. Education space which has been limited to schools has recently drawn keen attention in the field of education as it expands the education space to communities where learners daily lives are made, treats it as a subject of art education and presents new education standards. In particular, from the perspective of integration and convergence education, it is highly useful as a medium that can encompass diverse learning factors such as participation of local communities, communal spirit promotion, fostering community awareness, daily connections, and humanities. In this study, we will investigate and analyze the current state of government financial support related to community based art education to understand the overall trend and pattern of community base art education activities in Korea. For this purpose, year, target, subject of support, an entity of support, and method of support classified the data and each suggestion was drawn and summarized in five aspects. The results of these analyses are of significant value in terms of laying the foundation for community based art education to be realized at the school site and are necessary as a basic study for future development. We hope that further detailed follow-up studies will continue to contribute to the relevance and scalability of art education.
