국문 초록

사마리아 여인 이야기는 오랫동안 부도덕한 여인이 예수를 만나 회개하는 이야기로 해석이 되어왔다. 그 여인에게 남편이 다섯이 있었고 현재 살고 있는 남자도 남편이 아니라는 구절은 문자적으로 해석되어 왔다. 개성화의 관점에서는 이런 문자적 관점에서 벗어나 그 여인과 다섯 남편을 상징으로 보고자 한다. 개성화의 관점은 교리적 관점이나 기독론적 관점에서 보는 것에서 벗어나서 자아가 자기로 탄생하는 관점에서 본다. 예수가 그 여자에게 시혜를 베푼 사건으로 보는 주객구도를 깨고, 예수도 목이 마르며, 그 여인에게 구걸할 수도 있다는 관점에서 본다. 개성화의 관점에서는 그 여인만 변화되는 것이 아니라, 예수도 더불어 변화될 수 있다는 관점에서 본다. 복음서의 이야기를 과거에 일회적으로 완결된 이야기로 보지 않고 지금 여기에서 일어나고 있는 것으로 본다. 개성화의 사건은 2천 년 전에 한 번 일어나고 끝난 것이 아니라, 창조 이야기와 출애굽 사건에서도, 예언자들에게서도 일어난 것이다. 그것은 갈릴리 예수의 이야기에서 결정적으로 분출하였다. 사마리아 여인 이야기는 그 가운데 가장 아름답고 의미 깊은 개성화의 사건의 증언이다.

영문 초록

The story of the Samaritan woman has long been interpreted as the story of an immoral woman meeting with Jesus and repenting. The phrase that the woman had five husbands and that the man who lives now is not her husband has been interpreted literally. Apart from the literal point of view, from the point of view of individuation I would like to see this woman and her five husbands as symbols. It is not a dogmatic or a Christological point of view, but a view of the birth from Ego to Self. It breaks the traditional subject-object frame in which Jesus always gives something to her. Rather, Jesus also was tired, thirsty, and could ask the woman for something. From the perspective of individuation, not only the woman is changed, but also Jesus was changed as well. The story of the Gospels is not a one-off story of something that happened in the past but a story that is taking place here and now. The event of individuation did not happen and end 2000 years ago. It happened in the story of creation, in the Exodus, and in the prophets. It culminated in the story of Jesus of Galilee. The story of the Samaritan woman is the testimony of the most beautiful and meaningful event of individuation among them.
