한국의 지역별 산불 발생 원인 특성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 29년간(1990년~2018년) 산림청에 보고된 전국 산불발생현황 통계자료를 이용하여 전국 산불 발생 원인의 변화 양상과 발생 특성을 연도별, 지역별로 분석하였다. 연도별 산불 발생 원인 중 입산자실화가 가장 많았으며 과거에 비하여 최근에는 그 비율이 점차 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 기타원인은 과거에 비해 최근에 점차 증가하는 경향을 보이며 입산자실화와의 발생 비율의 차이가 점차 감소하고 있다. 지역별 가장 많은 산불 발생 원인은 입산자실화이며 담뱃불실화, 어린이불장난이 가장 많이 발생한 지역은 서울로 나타났고 인천, 부산 등 광역시에서 많이 발생하였다. 이러한 결과는 각 지역의 인구수와 기상적 특성 등이 영향을 미친 것으로 판단된다. 각 지역별 산불발생원인과 발생 시기에 따른 지역간 차이를 분석하기 위하여 Kruskal-Wallis의 비모수적 분산분석을 실시한 후 사후검정하였다. 봄철산불조심기간에 최다 산불 발생원인이 같은 지역 중 발생 횟수가 가장 많은 상위 3지역간 유의한 차이를 나타낸 지역은 2월 논밭두렁소각 산불이 가장 많은 지역 중 전라남도와 충청남도, 5월 입산자실화 산불이 가장 많은 지역 중 강원도와 충청북도로 나타났다. 2월, 3월, 4월 입산자실화 산불이 가장 많이 발생하는 지역들간에는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다.

영문 초록

Characteristics of forest fires in Korea using national forest fire statistical data over a 29-year period, from 1990 to 2018, were analyzed in this study. Among the causes of forest fires, the most frequent was visitors to the mountain. Even though the proportion of forest fires from mountain visitors has been gradually decreasing over the years as compared with the other causes, it is still the most frequent in each region. However, in cities with high populations, such as Seoul, Incheon, and Busan, the number of fires caused by smoking and children was relatively large as compared with other regions. Thus, the results are influenced by the population and meteorological characteristics of each region. Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric variance analysis was performed to analyze regional differences according to causes of forest fires during the spring fire seasons. The analysis showed significant differences among the top three regions that had the highest occurrences of forest fires. The results showed that the number of forest fires from farmers was significant in Jeollanam-do and Chungcheongnam-do during the month of February, whereas the number from visitors to the mountain was significant in Gangwon-do and Chungcheongbuk-do during the month of May.
