ARCS 이론을 활용한 포스터디자인 수업 연구 특성화고등학교 디자인과 학생들을 대상으로

국문 초록

포스터디자인은 학생들의 창의력을 증진시키고 자유롭게 자기 생각을 펼치며 메시지를 전달할 수 있는 면에서, 디자인을 전공하는 학생들에게 꼭 필요한 과정이다. 하지만 디자인교육이 전문적으로 이루어지는 특성화고등학교에서 학생들은 수업에 대하여 흥미와 관심을 느끼지 못하고, 본인과의 적절한 관련성을 찾지 못하며, 수업에 성취감을 느끼지 못하고 있다. 이에 설문조사를 통해 포스터디자인 수업에 대한 현황을 파악하고, 포스터디자인 수업에 ARCS 이론을 활용하여 학습 동기를 유발하고 유지하는 수업단계별 문제점 해결방안과 효과적인 수업방법을 제시하고 수업을 실행하였다. 수업의 효과 검증을 위해 이전 수업과 본 연구수업의 만족도에 대하여 5점 척도로 구성하여 대응표본 t-검정으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 이전 수업보 다 본 연구수업에 대한 주의집중이 향상되었고, 본인과 수업의 관련성을 느끼고 높은 흥미와 관심을 보였 으며, 그로 인해 수업에 대한 이해가 잘 이루어져 자신감을 느끼고, 수업에 대한 높은 만족도를 보인 것으 로 보아 ARCS 이론을 활용한 포스터디자인 수업의 실효성이 입증되었다.

영문 초록

Poster design is an essential course for students who major in design. It is a process where they enhance their creativity, freely express their thoughts, and communicate their messages. However, in Specialized Vocational High Schools where design education is specialized, students are not interested in their studies, fail to find a proper connection with themselves, and even after the lesson, they fail to gain a high sense of accomplishment. In this study, we identified the current status of the poster design classes through a survey, by applying the theory of ARCS in poster design class, the solving method for problem according to each step and efficient teaching method were conducted. In order to verify the effect, the satisfaction level of previous classes and the class conducted through this research was composed on a 5-point scale and analyzed by the corresponding paired t-test. As a result, contrastively, the concentration of attention on this research class was highly improved from the previous class, and the relevance of the class was more standed out shown with high interest, the understanding of the class was well achieved as well so that can approach further with feeling confident, and showing high satisfaction with the class, thus, the effectiveness of poster design classes using ARCS theory has demonstrated.
