국문 초록

중국은 문화대혁명 이후 계획경제에서 사회주의 시대로 전환되었고, 이는 정체성을 지닌 특유의 사회주의 경제 시스템만이 중국을 후진국에서 벗어나게 할 수 있다는 것을 깨닫게 되었다. 중국의 개혁·개방과 사회주의 경제 발전은 정치와 경제뿐 아니라 교육, 인문, 예술 등 분야에도 파급되었고, 중국 영화시장은 특히 해외와의 무역과 개방에 힘입어 비교적 일찍 형성되었다고 할 수 있다. 경제적 발전이 중국 국민에게 물질적 삶을 충족시켰다면, 영화와 TV의 방영은 정서적 삶을 충족시킨 것으로 현대 중국영화 발전의 기초가 되었다. 따라서 당시 영화의 사회적 배경과 역사적 배경을 통해 중국영화의 형성 단계를 분석하고 내용을 고찰하였으며, 가장 큰 영향을 준 4세대·5세대 감독들의 작품에 중점을 두어 영화의 주제와 대표작의 분포도를 조사함으로써 중국영화의 주제가 중국 현대영화 형성에 어떤 영향을 주었는지 분석했다. 4세대는 문화대혁명 당시 국가정책의 선전도구로 전락한 영화를 서민들의 소소한 일상을 통해 인간의 삶에 대한 의의와 사회의 인생철학을 표현했으며, 5세대 감독들은 4세대 감독들의 정치 지향적 태도에서 벗어나고자 했다. 더불어 영상미학, 공간미학, 의상(義象)미학과 영화 형태학을 구축함으로써 중국 현대영화의 창작관념과 창작영역을 크게 확장하는데 기여했음을 알았다. 그러나 4·5세대 감독의 경향과 작품을 분석한 결과 중국의 정체성과 민족성을 강하게 부각시킨 오리엔탈리즘적 경향은 이후 비판의 대상이 되기도 했다.

영문 초록

Since the Cultural Revolution, China has shifted from a planned economy to a socialist era. This was to make it possible for only a unique socialist economic system with identity to move China out of the underdeveloped country. China s reform and openness and socialist economic development have spread not only in politics and economics but also in the fields of education, humanities and the arts. The Chinese film market has been relatively early, especially due to trade and opening up with foreign countries. If economic development has satisfied material life to the Chinese people, the airing of movies and TV has met emotional life, which has become the basis for the development of modern Chinese cinema. Thus, through the social and historical background of the film at that time, the formation stage of the Chinese film was analyzed and the contents were reviewed. By focusing on the works of fourth-generation and fifth-generation directors, which had the greatest impact, the movie s themes and distribution of representative works were investigated, the Chinese film s theme was analyzed to see how it affected the formation of modern Chinese films. The fourth generation expressed the significance of human life and society s philosophy of life through the trivial daily lives of ordinary people, and fifth-generation directors wanted to break away from the political-oriented attitude of fourth-generation directors. In addition, he found that he contributed greatly to the creative concept and creative area of modern Chinese cinema by establishing visual aesthetics, spatial aesthetics, costume aesthetics and film morphology. However, after analyzing the trends and works of the fourth- and fifth-generation directors, the Orientalist trend, which strongly highlighted China s identity and ethnicity, has since become a target of criticism.
