국문 초록

본고는 고양이 漢詩의 意象을 연구하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 한국한시를 연구의 대상으로 삼았고, 의상을 방법론으로 삼아 고찰하였다. 나아가 의상의 체계를 확인하기 위해서 고양이에 대한 접근시선에 주목하였 다. 고양이에 대한 시선은 관념적 시선, 필요에 의한 시선, 친근한 시선으로 구분되었다. 먼저 관념적 시선은 고양이의 의상체계에서 典範性의 위치를 차지하며 제사의 神, 仁慈, 표리부동의 의상으로 詩化되었다. 필요에 의한 시선에 이르러서는 작가의 시대상황과 결부되면서 고양이는 능력자와 무능력자, 약탈자의 의상으로 變奏되었다. 마지막으로 친근한 시선은 전범적 의상에서 비교적 자유로운 양상이었기에 個性的인데, 고양이는 주로 작가의 처지와 심상을 대변하는 동물로 閑靜과 유대감의 의상으로 詩化되었다. 이처럼 한국한시에서 고양이의 의상은 관념적인 시선(전범)-필요에 의한 시선(변주)-친근한 시선(개성)으로 전환되며 확장되었다. 그러나 그 과정은 선형적이기보다는 무선형적이며 산발적이다. 이는 고양이에 대한 인식이 작가마다 다르고, 동일 작가라 하더라도 詩作에서의 고양이는 多面性을 지니기 때문이었다.

영문 초록

This paper aimed to analyze images of cats in Korean poetry in classical Chinese. For this purpose, it researched Korean poetry in classical Chinese as a subject of study, and examined images as a methodology. Additionally, for identifying a system of images, the research paid attention to various perspectives about cats. The research found that various perspectives about cats were classified by ideality, necessity and intimacy. Firstly, the perspective classified by ideality took a leading place as a classic. And classic images of cats were expressed in poems as a god of ritual, benevolence and ambidexterity. Secondly, the perspective classified by necessity was varied as a competent or incompetent being and a plunderer in associating with a situation of the time of authors. Lastly, the perspective classified by intimacy was individual because it was relatively free from classical images of cats. And in this perspective, cats were expressed in poems as images of peacefulness and a sense of fellowship mainly representing situations and minds of authors. Thus, images of cats in Korean poetry in classical Chinese were changed and extended from an ideal perspective(ideality) into a perspective by necessity(variation) and an intimate perspective(individuality). However, this process was rather nonlinear and sporadic than linear. It was because perceptions about cats were different by authors. And it was also because cats had various facets when they were expressed in poems even if same author wrote poems about cats.
