영남대본 『發心修行章』 연구 -자료의 實相과 復原을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 글에서는 嶺南大本 『發心修行章』을 중심으로, 주로 세 가지 관점에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행하였다. 제2장에서는 우리나라에 유일하게 남아 있는 영남대본 『發心修行章』의 書誌의 특징과 구성 내용 등을 개관하였다. 제3장에서는 松廣寺板(1577)과 瑞峯寺板(1583)의 상호 비교·대조를 통해 서봉사판의 구체적 實相과 국어사자료로서의 位相을 밝혔다. 이 두 판본은 1580년을 전후하여 한국한자음의 지역적 분포를 보여주는 佛典諺解 자료이다. 송광사판을 통해서는 전라도 순천 지역에 구개음화가 확산되어 있음을, 서봉사판을 통해서는 경기도 용인 및 중앙방언에서 구개음화가 전혀 진행되지 않았음을 보여준다. 제4장에서는 영남대본 『發心修行章』에서 훼손되거나 낙장된 여러 張을 복원하기 위하여 일본 東京大本과 함께 실태를 조사하여 여러 문제점을 검토하였다. 이와 함께 국어학·서지학적 관점에서 再構·復原 원칙을 수립하였으며, 컴퓨터그래픽 기술로 영남대본 『發心修行章』과 서봉사판 원간본 『初發心自警文』을 復原하였다. 이 글은 그동안 학계에 공개되지 않았던 영남대본 『發心修行章』 및 1583년의 서봉사판 원간본의 전체를 복원함으로써 학계에 원본 이미지를 제공할 수 있게 되었다는 점에서 의의가 크다.

영문 초록

This paper conducted researches on three viewpoints in regard to Yeungnam University collection (嶺南大本) of Balsimsuhaengjang (發心修行章). Chapter two of this paper reviews the bibliographic characteristics and structural contents of Yeungnam University collection (嶺南大本). Chapter three compares and contrasts Songgwangsa Edition (松廣寺板) with Seobongsa Edition (瑞峯寺板) to highlight the latter’s status and significance as materials for the of Korean historical linguistics. Both Editions are Korean annotations of the Buddhistic classics that exhibit the geographical use of Sino-Koream pronunciation about the year 1580. The study of the former shows that palatalization was distributed in Suncheon(順天) areas of Jeolla Province. The examination of the latter reveals that it was not distributed whatsoever in Yongin(龍仁) of Gyeonggi Province and the central dialect. Chapter four addresses some problems in restoring missing or damaged pages in Yeungnam University collection by examining the present situations of it and Tokyo University collection of Seobongsa Edition. We proposed some principles of reconstructing and restoring it from the standpoint of Korean linguistics and bibliography, and used computer graphic techniques to restore Yeungnam University collection of Balsimsuhaengjang and Chobalsimjagyeongmun (初發心自警文) in Seobongsa Edition. In conclusion, the paper has made some important contributions to restoring and providing original images of Yeungnam University collection of Balsimsuhaengjang of Seobongsa Edition and the 1583 version of Seobongsa Edition that has not been released to the academic circles.
