국문 초록

마르그리트의 『엡타메롱』은 10명의 사람들이 모여 10일 간 이야기하는 구조로서, 장소를 수도원으로 설정하고 여성인 우아질 부인에게 모임을 주도하게 함으로써 종교적이고 페미니즘적인 요소를 표현했다. 또한 ‘겁탈을 피하고 순결을 유지한 여인’, ‘사랑을 완성하기 위해 수도원으로 들어간 남자’ 등의 이야기를 통해 당시 사회가 추구해야 하는 ‘미덕’에 대해서 말하고자 했다. 끝으로 ‘수도사의 타락’을 비판하고 ‘오직 예수에 의한 구원’과 ‘오직 하느님의 은총에 의한 구원’과 같은 종교개혁 사상을 드러냄으로써, 당시 종교를 개혁하고자 했던 기독교 인문주의자들의 사상을 공유했다. 이를 통해 본 글은 마르그리트가, 단순히 인문주의자들과 종교개혁자들을 후원한 것이 아니라, 본인이 직접 인문주의자이자 종교 개혁가였음을 살펴보았다.

영문 초록

Through the book of 『L’Heptaméron』, this article examines that Marguerite de Navarre didn’t simply support the humanist and religious reformers, but she herself was the one of them. Because she was the woman onto the active and autonomous role of the christian humanist to change the history. 『L’Heptaméron』is a collection of 72 short stories written in French by Marguerite of Navarre. In the story, the group of 10 people agrees that they will take turns telling ten stories each, over a period of ten days. Many of the stories deal with love, lust, infidelity, and other romantic and sexual matters. But rather than pursuing the voluptuous longing, through the stories, the author tried to show the virtue such as ‘fidelity of wives and husbands’ and ‘love of human and God’ And through the stories, Marguerite of Navarre criticized the ‘wicked act of Friars’, and revealed the thought of the religious reformation such as ‘the salvation only through Jesus’ and ‘the salvation only through God’s grace.’
