국문 초록

이 논문은 척약재 김구용을 통하여 고려후기 지식인을 어떻게 바라볼 것 인가를 살펴보았다. 척약재는 세족 출신이면서 신흥사대부로서의 정치적 지향을 가졌다. 또한 과거를 통해 입신한 문인지식인이었다. 우리는 고려후기 지식인의 주류를 규정할 때 신흥사대부로 불러왔고, 이들은 민족적이고 민중적이며 성리학적 사상을 지녔다고 정의를 내리곤 했다. 그런 정의를 가지 고 척약재를 바라보면 무언가 해명되지 않는 지점들이 있다. 이 논문은 이 지점을 주목했다. 이 글은 척약재, 교유, 시를 주요한 키워드로 갖고 있다. 이는 실존으로서의 척약재을 축으로 하여, 그의 인간관계로서의 교유와 세계와의 접속인 시를 살펴서 어느 하나로 규정할 수 없는 모호한 모습을 확인하고자 했다. 척약재는 교유한 인간관계의 다양함과 복잡성, 시적 자아로서 세계와 맞서는 중층적 마음들, 그리고 그 자신이 단일한 성격으로 재단할 수 없는 실존적 복합성 등을 보여주었다. 이는 고려후기 지식인을 읽는 방법을 재삼 고민하기를 요구하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 우리가 그 요구에 부응할 때 척약재는 물론 고려후기 지식인들은 어떤 프레임에도 갇히지 않고 오롯하게 자 신을 드러낼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This paper examines how to look at the intellectuals of late Goryeo through Chukyakjae Kim Gu-yong. Chukyakjae was a descendant of the family and had a political orientation as an Sinheung-Sadaebu. It was also a literary intellectual who came through the Kuageo. When we defined the mainstream of the Latter-day intellectuals in Goryeo, we called them to Sinheung-Sadaebu, and they would have defined them as ethnic, populist, and seonglihak. If you look at Chukyakjae with such a definition, there are some points that are not explained. This paper noted this point. This article has Chukyakjae, human relationships and poetry as main keywords. I tried to confirm the ambiguity which can not be defined by any one of them, by looking at the poetry as the relation between human being and the world with the axis of the pretext of the existence as the axis. Chukyakjae has shown the diversity and complexity of human relationships, the middle-class minds against the world as a poetic self, and the existential complexity that can not be cut into a single personality. This suggests that it is necessary to rethink how to read intellectuals of late Goryeo. When we respond to those demands, we are expected to be able to expose intellectuals of late Goryeo without being trapped in any frame, as well as Chukyakjae.
