영문 초록

While explaining the characteristics of Japan in conventional way, the view on Shingoku is not so unfamiliar. In this article, the concept of Shin (Kami) -Yi) is newly raised as a term expressing the status of the ancient nation indicated in Nihonsyoki . The concept of expressing ancient Japanese has been confirmed that it was developed based on the notion of the Shingoku and the Chinese idea, and against the latter Hua-Yi distinction, the former one was tried to be identified as Shin (Kami) -Yi . As is well known, Hua-Yi distinction in Chinese understanding is based on the dichotomy of civilization versus barbarians, but the logic that seems to be in Nihonsyoki etc. had different dichotomy from the Confucian Hua-Yi distinction as a Shingoku (sacred) versus barbarians. Therefore, the author emphasized to recognize more clearly the difference on the expression for the root of self-centeredness which contains civilization and God. That s because Hua, Chinese self-centeredness, was not originated from God at least. Conventionally, as a characteristic of the formation of the country of Japan, a multilayered relationship that combined a double structure was pointed out that consist of a foreign element with Chinese code as the lead, and an indigenous element based on a clan or chief system. However, in correspondence to the status of ancient Japanese country or so called double structure, the coexistence (double structure) of Hua-Yi distinction (foreign Confucian ideology) and Shin-Yi (indigenous Shinto ideology) can be considered also.
