중학교 학생의 국어·수학 학업성취 프로파일에 영향을 미치는 비인지적 특성 탐색

국문 초록

학생의 교과에 대한 비인지적 특성 신장은 해당 교과의 학업성취도를 향상시키고, 이를 유지할 수 있도록 돕는 중요한 요인이라 것이 많은 선행연구에서 밝혀졌다. 반면 우리나라 학생들의 비인지적 특성에서의 성취는 국제적 기준에 비추어 볼 때 매우 낮은 수준인 것으로 나타나 학생의 비인지적 특성 신장은 주요한 교육적 현안으로 파악된다. 본 연구에서는 국가수준 학업성취도 평가의 중학교 3학년 국어, 수학과 자료를 대상으로 학생의 교과별 인지적 학업성취를 설명할 수 있는 비인지적 특성을 구조방정식모형을 적용하여 탐색하였다. 특히 종속변수인 교과별 학업성취를 인지진단모형을 적용하여 국어과는 7개, 수학과는 5개의 세부 학습영역에서의 학업성취 프로파일로 산출하여 분석하였고, 교과 특수적 비인지적 특성(교과 흥미, 교과 가치, 효능감)을 신장하기 위한 가정환경, 학교생활 적응 및 관계, 수업 태도 등의 영향력을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 국어, 수학교과에서 일관적으로 교과특수적 비인지적 특성은 해당 교과의 학업성취 프로파일에 정적인 영향력이 있었다. 또한 국어, 수학교과에서 일관적으로 가정환경이나 학교생활 적응 및 관계는 수업 태도의 매개를 거쳐야 교과특수적 비인지적 특성에 대한 예측력이 향상되었다. 그리고 수업 태도로의 경로계수는 가정환경에 비해 학교생활 적응 및 관계가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

In this study, variables affecting student achievement profiles or attribute mastery levels were explored using a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The independent variable was student academic achievement profiles estimated using cognitive diagnostic model. According to the analysis on the causal relation between the non-cognitive variables and the mastery of learning elements for Korean Languages and Mathematics using the Structural Equation Model, the family background, the level of adaptation to school life, and the school climate positively and indirectly affected the mastery the mastery of learning elements for Korean Languages and Mathematics through the medium of the non-cognitive characteristics for subjects. The non-cognitive characteristics for subjects positively and directly affected the mastery of learning elements for Korean Languages and Mathematics. The results of this analysis indicate that a gap in academic achievements can be caused by non-cognitive characteristics. Also non-cognitive characteristics are affected by the family background, the level of adaptation to school life, and the school climate.
