중등 한문교과서 ‘ 경전･제자백가 ’ 의 학습요소 * － 제재와 주제, 논리의 맥락성을 중심으로 －

국문 초록

이 글은 중등 한문교과서의 경전･제자백가 단원의 학습요소로 채택된 제재와 주제, 논리의 맥락성 문제를 검토한 것이다. 내용의 사상적 측면을 강조하는 경전･제자백가 단원은 중등 한문교과서에서 이 논점을 짚어보는데 적절한 단원적 성격을 지니고 있다. 검토 결과, 단편적인 핵심 구절들이 산재되어 있는 경전과 제자백가 단원은 제재를 주제화 하는 과정에서 논리적 맥락을 갖추어 그 의미를 명확하게 전달하는 것이 매우 불충분한 것으로 파악된다. 문제의식 자체가 미흡하거나 논리적 맥락이 결여되어 있기도 하고, 한 단원 내에서 학습 요소가 지나 치게 단편적으로만 제시되어 유기적 결합이 원활하게 이루어지 않는 곳도 적지 않다. 학습 요소간 유기적 결합이 미흡한 것은 교과서 집필시 한 단원내의 완결 성보다는 전체적인 편집사항, 특히 글자 수에 얽매이고, 문법 등의 학습요 소를 분산하여 배치해야 한다는 편찬지침상의 문제에서 비롯되는 점이 없지 않다. 그러나 좀 더 궁극적인 문제는 단원 내에서 학습요소, 그 내용에 대한 선별과 맥락적 결합에 대한 관심의 부족이다. 효과적인 지도 방법에 대한 추구는 지속적으로 요청되는 것이다. 하지만 여전히 구체적인 자료에서부터 시작되는 개별 학습요소에 대한 깊이있는 검토와 그 학습 요소의 유기적 결합이라는 맥락성에 대한 고민은 지금도 계속 교육현장에서 꾸준히 요청되는 것이다. 한문교과서 집필의 핵심요소로 다시 떠올려 져야 하는 것이다.

영문 초록

This article examines the contextual issues of materials, themes, and logic adopted as learning elements of the chapter, ‘The Scripture and Hundred Schools of Thought’ in Chinese textbooks of secondary school. The chapter, ‘The Scripture and Hundred Schools of Thought’ has appropriate characteristics to review this issue as they focus on the ideological side. As a result of the review, the chapter that has core phrases dispersed is insufficient in conveying the meaning clearly with logical context in the process of expressing the theme with materials. In some cases, the consciousness of the problem itself is insufficient or the logical context is lacking, and in others, the learning elements are presented only in a fragmentary manner in one chapter, missing out their smooth organic combination. The lack of organic combination between learning elements is due to the problem of editing instructions that focuses not on the completion of a chapter but on the whole editing, especially the limitation on the number of letters, and dispersed arrangement of learning elements including grammar. However, the more ultimate problem is the lack of interest in the selection and contextual combination of learning elements, themselves, within the chapter. The pursuit of effective teaching methods is sought out constantly. However, the review of each learning element that starts from concrete materials and the consideration of contextual nature, which is the organic combination of learning elements, are continuously asked for in the educational field. They should be reconsidered as key elements in writing Chinese textbooks.
